This restaurant is closed. Had a sign on the door that said it has a new location, which is a minute away, and that new location is closed too.

I have loved my food every time! Great portions, awesome flavor. I’ve only ever gotten takeout but definitely need to try sitting down one day.

This restaurant just closed and there was a reopening scheduled but it hasn't happened. Will it be back open again?

Shebelle presents consistently outstanding Ethiopian food in an attractive and clean restaurant at very reasonable prices. My favorite dish would definitely be the Zilzil Tibis. The Zilzil Tibis were delivered on a hot sizzling iron pan with veggies. I also love the Shebelle combination which gives you variety of meat based and vegetarian dishes, condiments and sauces. The injera bread was so fresh and warm. The food always served hot and the wait time wasn’t long at all. I also noticed they have hookah on Friday & Saturday nights from 10pm-2:00am. The staff also made me feel at home. I’ll definitely be back❤️ Five stars!

We are here for a change of pace and wanted something out of the ordinary and we weren't disappointed!! Awesome food!! Full of flavor and spice but not hot- spicy. We will definitely go back when they open the restaurant in their new location. Same mall area but, planning on opening at suite 115 instead! Look for it and enjoy!!

DFW definitely needs more good Ethiopian places. And while you're at it, come more towards the Carrollton/Lewisville area!Anyone who knows me knows that closely behind Asian food, Ethiopian food is right up there. And my love affair for the cuisine comes way before my time living in D.C. Sometimes I just crave something warm and curry-like with a bunch of injera bread. There's nothing that berbere doesn't fix.We ordered the lunch-size sampler (Shebelle Combination Plate) and it was the perfect portion for my boyfriend and I. We ate the entire thing. Even the injera that's used as a plate for all of the sides to sit on top of. My favorite was the collard greens and the Doro wot as usual but everything tasted pretty good. We also ordered the vegetarian sambusa which I so highly recommend. It came out piping hot and the lentils inside tasted so meaty and filling. Also special shout out to the server who was incredibly nice and friendly!

I usually don't write reviews but this is ridiculous the portions are Wayyy to SMALL for the price the vegetables look and taste old especially the spinach I usually order from Queen of Sheba but didn't realize they were closed today and was really craving some Ethiopian food so figured I'd give shebelle another go but this was obviously a bad idea to compensate for the very small portions of the sides and meat your to go plate is just packed with a lot of injera

Good Ethiopian. We have some superb Ethiopian at what is home now (Seattle), so I have to put this up against those. This is a solid 3 1/2 stars by that standard. The space is clean and inviting. The service is friendly and helpful (though they can be distracted). The food was good (sorry, used to great from the Ethiopian places at home).Overall, a solid place that deserves more patronage.

Queen of Sheba is closed on Mondays so I HAD to find an alternative. So dissatisfied with the service and quality of food here. Was so compelled to write a review and will most certainly never return to this place. For some reason, the AC was off ... it's summer. We weren't greeted. The server was on the other side of the room and we had to ask to be seated after an unnecessarily long period of silence .. just trying to figure out if she knew that we wanted to eat and that it was her job to help us ... should've been the first three red flags, honestly.Unfortunately, we had the Shebelle combo. The meat was over-cooked, the egg in the doro wot was cold, and the veggies were old. I'm not sure why their prices are so high for such poor quality and small portions. I'm actually shocked that there are even good reviews from other people. Maybe I just came on a bad day ... well too bad . I'm not coming back . I'll just wait until Tuesday !

I've had their veggie combo twice (once dine-in, once delivery) & quality was consistent for both. They are very generous with their injera and portions, and all of the dishes were delicious (with the exception of the gomen, which was bland).

The owner is friendly and the place is clean but the food was very bad.We couldn’t finish it.I don’t know what kind of beef and butter they used to cook it.This is the second time we went there expEcting it will get better.I am very surprised to see all this positive reviews .I hope the owner sees this review and make the proper adjustment ,there are other ethiopian restaurants around DFW that at least serve tasty dish .
