Stopped by the gas station for a fill up and got to talking to James about my old Ford F250 truck and his award winning barbecue. The smell wafting from Smokey Rays was amazing so I got a couple of ribs and a little brisket to try it out. The ribs were tender and juicy and had a nice smoked taste. The brisket was great too, not too fat and not too lean, but just right. It was some good eatin'. I'll be coming back soon!

Today I was hungry for some barbecue ribs so I google map where's the nearest barbecue. Smokey Ray off Midway Rd and Rosemeade at Texaco gas station is where I bought a rib sandwich, a loaded baked potato with chopped beef and let me tell you the ribs was seasoned good, the baked potato was good, everything was hot and ready. I appreciate the wonderful service Ray and James gave as they offer me a side of banana pudding to go with my meal. Thanks you Smokey Ray I will be back to taste the j*** chicken you talked about to.

Greetings!!!! I was in search of a good BBQ spot in Dallas. Welp. I stopped by here which is located inside a Texaco gas station. I was greeted by a gentleman and the experience was awesome. The ribs and banana pudding is on point!! I was driving to Austin Texas for good Bbq. Good food and awesome customer service. Definitely will go back!

I am a DoorDash dasher that had just dropped an order next door and I was sooo hungry I was feeling weird. I just wanted some chicken and 2 pieces of bread plain and not toasted. He gladly fixed me up in no time ...and man that chicken was delicious

I am a doordasher that wandered in after a delivery. Was starving and they hooked me up with 2 amazing tasting boneless chicken and 2 pieces of bread and a little mayonnaise and I was tearing up the chicken…so tender not dry at all.

Picked up the catfish platter, came with small side salad, hush puppies, fries and 2 pieces of catfish. It was all fresh, hot and yummy. It was seasoned to perfection. I've had their BBQ, brisket before so I knew the catfish had to be good too. Anther big plus all the employees that cook are all super nice and very helpful if you get stuck on what to order. I would highly recommend!

I first saw them at a pop up event and had their brisket. So today I decided to try their catfish and it was so delicious just like the BBQ I had. I also tried the banana pudding and it was amazing. I ate everything so fast that I forgot to take a picture.

I went by today and got a brisket plate and banana pudding to test the flavor. After one taste, I went back for more. So much flavor in every bite! Banana pudding is amazing and the brisket is juicy and well seasoned with a great BBQ sauce. If you’re ready to get addicted to insanely good BBQ, you better head on over to Smokey Ray!!!!

Great, friendly group of folks working here. Food was ready in just a few minutes and portions are good. Prices are fair!THE BRISKET is wow and the beans aren’t far behind it! As someone who’s tried several bbq spots over the last 2 years, I’m sad I didn’t realize this was around the corner from me sooner. I’d have been coming here!

My first time eating there and I was satisfied to say the least! I had the rib plate and them thangs was falling off the bone. I also had the sausage on the side and that was on point as well. Topped it off with some peach cobbler... just greedy ?
