From the looks of it you wouldn’t expect much from the food but the food was as good as anything I have had. Everything on the menu is exceptional!! Highly recommend!

This place is 100 percent authentic and original.. there’s so much local culture and reference to it . I hate to use such an overused cliche so I won’t.. that said, I loved it! Real people, neighborhood people, good people and great food and service as well.

I know one thing for sure about this place. The food is GREAT! I had Diablo Shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta. Everything was prepared beautifully and it was so delicious. Also, they had my favorite beer on hand. That's always a bonus! I saw a wide variety of spirits and wines available also. My salad was fresh and crisp veggies. My server was very attentive as well. Id say every aspect of my dining experience at the Dancing Marlin was first rate. Id highly recommend folks in Deep Elum give their food and beverages a try for an affordable and satisfying option.

Classic Deep Ellum restaurant\bar experience with a historical building. Travis gives great service from behind the bar and the food is great. I didn't expect such a wide selection on the menu, but everything I have had so far has been really good.
Parking can be a challenge since the city is working on Commerce St but they have paid lots across the street and in the garage next door. If close by just Uber and there are plenty of places near by to walk to after dinner.
