The brisket BBQ is really delicious. When will it come back?
AWESOME gourmet burger and fries, excellent food and service. Not your typical airport restaurant! Our server Jaicee was very friendly and attentive, while manager Kim’s warm welcome and efficiency guaranteed that we will be repeat customers. Comfortable seating options and nice bar area. Good selection of draft beers.
It's ok place. The ribs was ok with out much taste in it. I order the coleslaw on side and it taste weird. I told them and ask them to change it for fried okra but they was out! So they turn around and start doing there job.... So, you have to try your luck probably...
Had enough time on layover and it was dinner time so I was excited to try this place - should have passed. I had the brisket sandwich with loaded potato salad. The sandwich was fine, but unremarkable - the salad was not good - "loaded" means jalapenos - I'm not pepper-shy but it was way too much heat for potato salad IMO - did not like it but ate it because I was hungry. I expect an airport price premium, but this was not really worth the pricing. Other options nearby that I'll give a try next time rather than going back here.
I had a daily sandwich special. Mine was a beef sandwich, which was shredded beef. The beef itself was good, but I can’t say that it was $15 plus tax worth although I get that it is at the airport. The ‘sandwich’ which was more like a burger came with a bag of chips and soda of your choosing. The lady who worked there at the time didn’t seem like she wanted to put effort into serving customers. Maybe my money could’ve been spent better at McDonald’s a little away.
We arrived at the airport on Easter 2019 getting ready to take our flight. We wanted something fast. We were in line. We asked how long it will take, the man said “I have brisket sandwich and another type of sandwich ready...” it was quite confusing. It seemed like it would a get and go OR a sit down experience, but not to have food ready. Something didn’t seem right. So we left. Review based on customer service and the restaurant not ready for travelers.
I'm pretty sure that most of the reviews on here are from rival barbecue joints because this barbecue absolutely is bursting with delicious tender flavor and I have always had a fantastic experience at any of Stephan Pyles establishments!! great service nice casual setting perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of traveling at the airport. I'm pretty sure the other Yankees that are responsible for these other reviews have no idea about what good barbecue is because they're used to New England clam chowder, and are probably Massholes!! Thanks a lot for your fake reviews and we will catch you on the flip side at your terrible barbecue joint that is probably failing because BBQ from the north sucks!! Perhaps it wasn't up to standards because maybe they would prefer a Mongolian BBQ?
Very unpleasant second experience. On June 13th as agoing through my transit flight @ DFW stopped by to get a bbq rib to take out to the C terminal. As for my biggest surprise the ribs were undercooked.. So tough that even my friend with healthy teeth.. had a hard time to chew the meet. The coleslaw had no flavor but mayonaise.Very sad ? and dissapoing that food being sale for human consumption that dangerous to our body & health. Please fine an other place if you're hungry for Texas BBQ..!!!I WILL NOT RECOMMENDED this Place.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have very low expectations of food at an airport, and these guys managed to underwhelm me with the quality of the food, the presentation, the time it took to prepare, and the actual taste and flavor. It was nothing short of amazing how bad this experience was. I have literally never had a worse eating experience in my 40 years of life.
I only ordered the chopped beef sandwich, 2 actually. They were good. I don't know about 13 dollars good, but they were alright, just super expensive!!Staff seemed nice enough.

I am going to guess the bad reviews are from people that:1. Dont travel and eat in an airport much.2. Have never tried bbq outside the midwest. Is this the best bbq ever? No, but for airport food, its pretty good. After living in Seattle for the last 3 years, this is amazing bbq. But in Seattle, their idea of good bbq is a smoked Turkey sandwich from Starbucks. FYI, Starbucks coffee is some of the worst in Seattle, if not the world!I got ribs and brisket, there was fat on the brisket, but if you didn't know, fat is where the taste comes from. My robes were good, they didn't fall off the bone, but were not chewy at all.I tried their new mac and cheese which was good as well.Nothing was amazing, but again, for airport food, it was pretty good.Their bbq sauce was a bit thin for my taste, good flavor, just too runny.
Cold expensive untasty fast food
Horrible “smoke chicken” at Stampede 66 Dallas Airport. Below the red colored ”covering” there was undercooked chicken meat. Besides, the chicken needed seasoning/condiments. It was tasteless. The beans looked and tasted like an unflavored pie of beans stuck to each other. The price was outrageous too. It was $22 for a quarter white meat chicken, beans and a beer. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Slow service, ordered the brisket plate, was unimpressive, the coleslaw was bland meat was under seasoned. Wow what a let down.
