I hadn't visited State & Allen in quite some time. I have to admit I was VERY disappointed this time. The female waitress was horrible. She NEVER took our order. We requested to sit on the patio and it was lunch time. We were some of the first seated and the lady orders to be taken. The GM had to take our order. I definitely won't go back for lunch as we were on a time constraint. The food was great and the GM was great. Perhaps more employees would have solved...
Overall, the atmosphere and location were great, and the food was good. However, the service was a bit slow. I feel like I could've had two more Bloody Marys if the server had checked in with us about refills. It seemed like they might have been short-staffed that day.
I live close to State & Allen and often pass by it on my walks. One Saturday evening, I decided to take my dog and myself out for a visit. I love the outside seating with its modern style and TVs. The crowd was jovial, and the hostesses were great. Our server was excellent and attentive.
