Visited Steel for the first time this week for dinner. We will definitely be back. The restaurant wasn’t too busy for a Thursday which seemed odd. The sushi was incredible. Enjoyed the firecracker roll and the softshell crab appetizer. Service was as excellent. Next time you are looking for sushi in the part of Dallas give Steel a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Went to Steel on a recent visit to Dallas, the restaurant wasn't super crowded which made me a little suspicious for a sushi place but the food and service was amazing. We enjoyed the firecracker and the chromium rolls. Both were delicious. We also had the soft shell crab appetizer which was equally good. We will definitely be going back. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

We went to the restaurant on Valentine's Day 2024 and the service was excellent. Kayla was our bartender and waiter. She was so sweet, nice, and attentive and we really enjoyed her service. The food was amazing, we had the Steel Dragon sushi roll, Korean Beef, and Atlantic Salmon. Each meal was made to perfection. The Paloma and Old Fashioned cocktails were also really good.
Whatever you see in the good reviews, completely disregard. I have never had worse sushi. The service was abysmal, and anyone who says the sushi is good I would guess has only ever eaten canned tuna. I had more pieces of nigiri spit into my napkin by the end of dinner than in my stomach. It was genuinely disgusting.

Came here for a trip with my husband. We wanted an upscale Japanese feel close to our hotel. We had an awesome experience here. I wouldn't say top of the level upscale but very nice and not as casual as the hibachi or small sushi joints. Ambiance was a romantic feel for sure. The spicy edamame was great. Mt. Fuji and Cherry Blossom rolls were fabulous. I also loved the Pineapple Mojito! Our server was kind and attentive. We will for sure come back here when in Dallas!!

Went to dinner here tonight and everything was as excellent. Service was on point, our waiters Moon was a sweetheart and has Ave some solid recommendations. Miso soup was fantastic, sashimi and rolls were on point . Was not too busy so food came out quick, atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend.
Moon (our waitress) was great good recommendations pleasant to be around. Food was excellent. The only recommendation I would provide is expand the sushi menu. Definitely would return.

I guess let’s start with outside. They do have valet parking that’s a plus especially when it’s cold. Walking in the atmosphere is really nice semi dim lit dining room. The staff is really nice and attentive the prices are reasonable the food isn’t crazy good I ended up getting a wagu on a hot rock was supposed to be slices of the beef that you can cook on a hot rock at the table. Now for 25$ 5 small pieces of meat that wasn’t wagu just looked like a real good piece of stake with ok marbling it’s not worth the money at all. I also tried the short ribs and the lamb chops both were ok nothing crazy. Drinks are good for the price too over all it’s a good place to go to sushi was nice too it’s not a 5 star restaurant or anything like that but for a quick meal in a nice environment with helpful staff it’s worth it.
Kayla was our server and made the evening so fun. Great food and atmosphere. Happy hour is good too!

I think it was because it was two days before Christmas, but we practically had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We loved how intimate everything felt and the food was DELICIOUS! Definitely recommend!

Incredible service ended up getting a bottle of sake - they def seem torched themselves on your drinks never being empty pure sake glasses never seemed to get below half full. Sushi was incredible waiters recommendations were incredible- surprised that it wasn't busier in a Saturday night this place is a GEM

Disappointed as Steel had always been a fav of ours. Booked the wine room for 10 for my 50th bday. The restaurant may be under new ownership and was almost empty yet service for us was slow. We had 2 servers and the main one was in a constant rush and had a bad attitude. They were out of a few items we normally like and the food quality was also lower than the past. Sorry but Steel will not be in our list of special restaurants going forward.
