Horrible, gone 4 times and each time the food has been worse, smaller and more expensive. Only busy cause of location. Bad.

was here for literally 5 minutes. walked in with my family as the sign outside said “please seat yourself” walked to the outdoor seating area where all the employees looked at us like we were stupid. and then told us we had to check in with the hosts. we told them the sign said to seat ourselves and the host laughed at us and said it didn’t say that. one of the women hosts had to walk out to the front and flip the sign around to make it seem like we were in the wrong. poor service, horrible first impression.

Decided to try this establishment.
Food plates are small. But fitting as it attracts walkers.

When finished with my plate there was a dog hair at the bottom. Server was very inattentive and dull.
I honestly believed she would have seen the black hair on the plate and bring it up but sadly she did not.

If I return here it’s for the convenience, atmosphere & mango frozen margarita.

Delicious and affordable for dinner & evening walk on Katy trial. Austyn was a friendly server with great recommendations.

We come here frequently - hostesses were so rude when we were trying to put our names on the list!!! Asked us multiple times if we were “sure” and overall snarky for no reason

Only giving it two stars because the queso was good if I didn’t get the queso I would put 1 star. I ordered fajitas and they took 30 minutes to bring it out not only that it was embarrassingly unseasoned for a Mexican restaurant.

Perfect place for a break on the trail or lunch- great vibe on Mondays, ask for Liv and you'll stay longer than you mean to

I placed an ordered over the phone. I was asked if I wanted the happy hour portion which it was 1/2 the prices. When I arrived to pick up the order the lady at the bar (not sure if she’s a bartender) charged me twice as much. I told her what I was told on the phone but she said it’s not valid on to go orders. Never going back and telling my bumc friends not to support this business.

We’ve been to Tequila Social many times and used to really enjoy it, but unfortunately, the food has been getting progressively worse with each visit.

The fish tacos were overly greasy—there was so much oil pooled in the tray that it made the food feel heavy and inedible. The salad was underwhelming too, especially for the price. It looked more like a half-hearted side dish than a proper entrĂ©e, with minimal toppings and not much flavor.

The chips seemed stale when they first came out. We assumed it might be due to the humidity, but honestly, that’s not really an excuse—especially when they brought us a fresh batch that was noticeably better. That just confirmed the first batch shouldn’t have been served.

The drinks are still solid—strong and well-made—and the atmosphere is fun, but the food just isn’t what it used to be.

If you’re in the area and looking for something more consistent, we’d recommend heading over to Katy Trail Ice House instead. It’s nearby, and the food and service there tends to be more reliable

I've been here a handful of times hoping to really like it and am let down each time. The atmosphere can be kind of fun, but the food and drinks are pedestrian at best—especially at their price point. Frozen margaritas are on the expensive side (starting at $11), too sweet, and of lower quality, at least compared to the similarly priced Mi Cocina Mambo Taxi or Gloria's House Frozen. The empanadas I had came out still semi-cold. Chips are average. They get an extra star, though, for having a dog friendly patio.

I think I'm being generous at rating the food at three. Got the fajitas - step above Taco Bell.

Service was extremely inattentive, more so consider how slow it was for the Sunday brunch service.

Unfortunately, this is no Ice House. The bad selection of music and outdoor televisions are so loud, it's impossible to enjoy a conversation. They need to dim the lights, turn down the volume & create some ambiance. Such a disappointment.

Convenient location, if you’re in the area.

Want a taco plate? That’ll be $14 bucks
oh you expect rice or beans? Those are $5 each extra.

So tacos are around 5 a piece, and are subpar to begin with.

I guess this is what you get downtown, but overall a pretty disappointing option.
