A Gem of a Thai Experience!

Thai Opal is an absolute delight! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The flavors in every dish are truly authentic, rich, and beautifully balanced—whether it’s the perfectly spiced curries, the fragrant Pad Thai, or the crisp, fresh spring rolls. The quality of ingredients is evident, and the presentation adds an extra touch of elegance.

Beyond the food, the service is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in ensuring every guest has a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a Thai restaurant that combines incredible food, a welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service, Thai Opal is a must-visit!

Highly recommended!

The yellow curry was salty. Overcooked pad thai, and it wasn't delicious. The calamari were overdone.

Simply the best. Excellent food. I habe tried several dishes and they were all very flavorful, delishious, and filling. They are incredibly resonable with their portions and always such incredible staff. Their owner is amazing and she truly puts a great effort forward. Cannot praise this place enough. It has been great watching their evolution and consistant dedication to quality.

This was an incredible “hole in the wall” surprise find. It has intimate seating, low light romantic atmosphere. The meal began with warm lavender hand towels, and delightful service. The yellow curry is delightful at a level 4 spiciness. The dishware is beautiful, and the chairs were comfy. {I only wish there was somewhere to put my purse} Truly I can’t gush enough about this cozy spot with an unassuming exterior. They have truly given me an unforgettable experience.

I like trying Thai restaurants. This place looks really nice. The food was good but nothing special. The heat was on point.

Excellent food. Such a fun little restaurant tucked away in Lake Highlands. You can tell the owners take pride in the place. Now serving sushi, too!!!

The Tamarind Duck is not to be missed! The fried rice was perfect as was the Pad Woon Sen. The Fried Banana Ice Cream finished things right!

Soft shell crab spring rolls were good. Along the Thai Tea. However, $18 for a flavorless and bland pad Thai and pad kee mao is absurd. Very expensive for low quality staple Thai dishes. Also I believe the AC wasn’t working, so it was uncomfortably hot dining in.

I love that Thai Opal is our local place for Thai food. The food is excellent, as is the service. Great place for a quiet meal or for take out.
