This was an incredible “hole in the wall” surprise find. It has intimate seating, low light romantic atmosphere. The meal began with warm lavender hand towels, and delightful service. The yellow curry is delightful at a level 4 spiciness. The dishware is beautiful, and the chairs were comfy. {I only wish there was somewhere to put my purse} Truly I can’t gush enough about this cozy spot with an unassuming exterior. They have truly given me an unforgettable experience.

I like trying Thai restaurants. This place looks really nice. The food was good but nothing special. The heat was on point.

Excellent food. Such a fun little restaurant tucked away in Lake Highlands. You can tell the owners take pride in the place. Now serving sushi, too!!!

The Tamarind Duck is not to be missed! The fried rice was perfect as was the Pad Woon Sen. The Fried Banana Ice Cream finished things right!

Soft shell crab spring rolls were good. Along the Thai Tea. However, $18 for a flavorless and bland pad Thai and pad kee mao is absurd. Very expensive for low quality staple Thai dishes. Also I believe the AC wasn’t working, so it was uncomfortably hot dining in.

I love that Thai Opal is our local place for Thai food. The food is excellent, as is the service. Great place for a quiet meal or for take out.

It’s just not very good…. I ordered the beef pad see eaw with medium spice. Spice level was definitely not a 3, it was a 1.

The vegetables and beef were not tender at all. Very rubbery. I felt like I was fed a microwave frozen dinner. The flavor wasn’t lacking at all, but it tasted like food that was prepped last week, dished into portions, and frozen until heated for consumption. Noodles were greasy and cold in the middle. Veggies and beef felt stretchy and watery. This is not restaurant quality, this is what I do when I am meal planning. I just don’t think this place serves food with quality above what you can cook at home.

I cook often and can look past the food quality when I’m at home (I’ll eat reheated meat, veggies, and noodles any day to save money), but I don’t want to go out and spend my money to eat something that tastes like leftovers.

Tried the vegetable spring rolls and the pad thai. Both were very good. Service was great and the atmosphere was great as well.

Vegetarian options: Many options. Menu is adjustable to accommodate.
