The food was delicious I had or tried - Fried Green tomatoes, crab cakes, catfish, greens, cornbread with the incredible honey butter!& mac n Cheese all were fantastic. Can't wait to go again.
I thought it was very expensive and I was surprised considering the location. It seems to be out-priced for the residents in the area and does not invite them to eat the healthier options offered. The amount of food was also disappointing based on the cost...
Love what Bonton Farms is doing for the community but the food was not good. Greens were tough and not cut up. Chicken was over cooked. Macaroni and cheese was like a kid made it. Pancakes were tough. Not good.
We had such a good time at Bonton Farms! My daughter and I stopped by before a play in Fair Park. The food was really excellent. You can't get fresher veggies then a garden right out the door! I had a fried green mater sandwich with a perfectly fried tomato and it had a really great pimento cheese on it as well. My daughter had an omelet with chorizo, which she loved! The swamp tea had tang in it, which was really delicious. I'll have to call for the ingredients again so we can make it at home! The atmosphere was friendly, not stuffy and uptight, so we felt right at home. It was the perfect place for us small town girls to get a special big city lunch on our girls outing!
My sketching group goes to Bonton Farms at least every few months. We sketch and then stay for lunch. The food is prepared from the garden we just sketched, and it is impeccably presented! The milking goats provide milk and cheese, the chickens provide eggs, the little shop sells fresh produce and jams. It is a wonderful experience for any age! Be sure to get yourself and your family to Bonton Farms!
The service and food were very good. Unfortunately they were out of the first two entrees we ordered - meatloaf and fettuccini. Next time we'll arrive earlier than 1:30pm so we can try the meatloaf. The creamed spinach was the best I've ever had!
Bonton Farms is such a staple in the community, food was incredible, tea and coffee were delicious, the farmers market was plentiful; however the best part is the wonderful people who work there! They make the experience.
It doesn't get any more farm-to-table than this! Indoor cafe with floor-to-ceiling glass retractable garage doors viewing outdoor patio tables provide fresh flavors and views of neighbors growing their delicious local menu and employable workforce skills. The daily special Zuppa Bontona puts garden twist on zuppa toscana. “Swamp Tea” combines mango iced tea with a Tang-y spiced citrus blend. The creole crawfish salad had fresh citrus and a hearty portion of seafood in the mix. The cornbread crusted catfish and cheeseburger never disappoint. Cornmeal poundcake makes for a sweet ending. Off the beaten path and always worth the trip!
I love what Bonton Farms is about so I try to support them in anyway that I can. This is my first time for breakfast. I have been there for other events and the food has been wonderful. The breakfast was good but the muffins at the neighboring coffee shop were really good. The server could have also been more attentive but was generally polite and accommodating.
This was my first experience at Bonton Farms and I will definitely be back. The food was fresh, the swamp tea and watermelon lemonade were a treat and the smiles and friendliness of the staff made the hour drive for me, totally worth it.

The food was delicious but it took the server a while to come take our order. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there but she was polite for the most part. Our pancakes weren't cooked all the way but delicious flavor
Took my daughter here for her birthday and they made it a really special day for her. The service was excellent, and the food was plentiful. Also, we really enjoyed the environment.
Delicious food, delightful staff, endearing ambience. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike. The kids and the adults were very happy here. Get some of their honey butter to take home!
1st time experience. Will definitely be back. Food was great. Last available reservation before closing. Would have love to be able to visit the farm. I'll come with more time next time I visit. Overall everything was great.
I took my dear friend to the Bonton for the first time. We were celebrating her birthday. It was amazing. A gentleman greeted us at the door. The hosted showed us the specials and seated us. Sergio promptly brought us the menu and explained the items. While waiting on our food order we went to the market. The clean fresh smell got me!!! The cashier was so friendly. We poked our heads in the coffee shop and met a charming young lady. We had the best conversation. Then we ran into Natalie. Man she is the best representative. She took us to the stables to see the goats, chickens, vegetation and barn. When we got to the table our food was there piping out. Waiting to be devoured. The fish was crispy. The greens were seasoned. The seafood jambalaya with bow tie pasta was filled with plump seafood. And the Cornbread!!! Hot with melting sweet butter. SMH. The food was Absolutely Delicious!! J.
