DO NOT COME HERE! If I could give a 0 star review I would simply because of the service. Calling the restaurant and making a reservation was good. We went to celebrate my sister's birthday, we took a couple balloons and confetti for the table (the restaurant even before I asked allowed us to) everything was fine up until the time we left. The restaurant closes at 10 and around 10:15 they started handing out our checks and we all payed. We wanted to grab some quick pictures at the neon sign inside. We took less than 10 minutes. The 2 people in our group had to use the restroom. Our waiter ran torwards and not even respectfully YELLED I REPEAT YELLED at us to leave. "Get out we are closed" I said I need to wait for my sister who is in the restroom who is a minor and I was not leaving her alone in a building. He proceeded to say "wait outside" practically kicking us out and yelling. There was a sweet girl at the bar who even looked confused as to why he was so aggressive. I'm giving a 1 star review simply because it is unacceptable how they kicked us out. We understand it was late and we were the last group to go and the staff wanted to go home. But THERE IS NO way any of that was okay at all. Truly horrible how he yelled at us all. We even told him 1 more minute for us to wait for my sister and the bathroom and she had to walk out of the building by herself. DO NOT GO HERE. At least don't go here around 8 and after because the waiters are tired and want to go home and kick you out!!!

I was actually excited about going here, but once I got there it was not what I expected. The food did not have much flavor and the service was pretty bad. The drinks were the only thing made right that night.

Great experience. Our waiter was fun and energetic. Recommended the frozen coco loco margarita with the chicken tostadas as an appetizer. Ambience was beautiful. Felt like a vacation getaway. Very bohemian and tropical. Prices are reasonable. Excellent overall, definitely coming back again. Thank you Tulum!

This was my second time at Tulum and it was just as good as the last time I was there back when it first opened. I had just come back from a beach vacation in Mexico and was already missing flavors of the coast and Yucatán. We decided to sit at the bar and were able to enjoy the full menu there. Our bartender, Emily, made the perfect drinks! We tried the wanna be Tulum, coconut mojito, carajillo and jaguar (espresso martini). These last two cocktails were made with fresh coffee and espresso and were so good! All of the drinks were really good. For appetizers, we had the Mayan chicken molotes and cochinita pibil wontons. For entrees, we had the Cozumel wood oven enchiladas with jalapeño pistachio sauce and the suadero tacos. Their rice that came with the tacos is so amazing! And for dessert, we shared the pina colada ice cream sandwich which had rum and was so delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I will be back again and again.

Atmosphere and service is good , food does not match the quality of the place , service and price . Had a prime ribeye 56 $ one of the most expensive items on menu . Felt like I was eating pure butter , mashed potatoes were salty , flounder was salty as well . Feel like if someone is paying for one of the most expensive items it should have some sort of quality . Cool spot for drinks , could work on the quality of food .

Exceptional dinner last night with amazing service from Omar and delicious food from Cheke. For those who are local, this should be a regular haunt for great overall positive experience.

Terrible! have to scream to talk . Didn’t get wha to ordered. 2/3 of wine by glass on menu not available. Expensive for quality of food.Much better Mexican food in Dallas. Don’t waste your money.

Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service with Omar. My shrimp chili relleno was really tasty and flavorful; floating in red chipotle sauce, which I found unusual. The problem we had with Tulum was the noise factor. It was so incredibly loud that we had to shout, and even then we couldn't hear the other couple at our table. One member of our party didn't receive the correct order but rather than wait another lengthy time, she accepted it. Left 2/3 of it on the table. Another member felt the three very small fish tacos were definitely overpriced. We would like to say we would return, but the noise is prohibitive. Perhaps we should have suspected that at a Mexican restaurant on Saturday evening. We had just expected a somewhat quieter experience.

i made reservations a way ahead of time for Vday, my reservation was for 8:30, i think they closed at 9 so my experience was sort of rushed. I had to go to the bar to order our drinks in fear that we would miss the cut off time. They should'nt make reservations so late to avoid that with future guest. The bartender was very kind & delivered our drinks to b our table, the server was very attentive & kind, and the food was 10/10. overall i enjoyed myself & i will be back.
