I was browsing on social media and decided I wanted my bday dinner here. They charge you a reservation fee $7 per person it was 6 of us. Our waitress was very attentive and was on point. Mind you I paid $42 alrdy for reservation fee, me and my guest was the only ones there the entire time beside the employees. Asked abt the reservation fee and waitress told me it would be reverse back to my account. I called them last week inquiring abt it was told she would talk to management and give me a call back I also sent them an email letting them know as well. So here we are no communication back to me on what's the hold up. Call my back to dispute it and they telling me do I have anything saying or showing that it would be reversed. I noticed they closed today I will call again tomorrow..This is why you cant try to help out your own ppl with their BLACK OWNED BUSINESS cause some ppl take advantage and mess it up for other businesses that's doing a good job.

We came here for a friend's birthday and the man at the front didn't allow our friend to bring their purse in and didn't give an explanation. Our friend is gay and the only one to bring a very tiny handbag with them so we thought maybe it was policy. As we continue to dine we realize that every other table had people with small handbags. A lot of them were larger handbags than my friend's. We started to understand the restaurant staff member's motive. He didn't want our friend to be able to carry his purse in. Clearly a homophobic power move and for WHAT? I will always try and support a black owned business but never support a homophobic one. I hope the restaurant owners didn't pass that type of discrimination down to the staff. I really hope that host's issue was singular and his own and not representative of the business.

I find it insulting that instead of taking true accountability, Victor’s thinks name-dropping the LGBTQ community erases what actually happened. You can host a thousand events and hire staff from the community, but that doesn’t undo a person’s experience when they were disrespected on YOUR watch. A real apology isn’t followed by gaslighting or trying to silence the narrative. If you don’t want this reputation, then make sure your staff and establishment never create the situation in the first place. Period. Don’t wave a rainbow flag to cover up poor treatment, do better!

Food was overcooked dry and burnt. The Mac n cheese had no cheese and too much salt. The broccoli was soaked in salt and no flavor. The fritter was so burnt it was darker than me. And I am Wesley snipes blade black. Worst meal I’ve had in Dallas. Two thumbs down.

I really want to like this plac but there can definitely be some improvement. I was really impressed with the atmosphere and how beautiful it is inside. The service was great but the food and drinks are way over priced. I think this place has potential if they just make a few changes.

This was my first time at this restaurant/bar and I was instantly greeted with hostility from the man working the front door I had a very small handbag and he told me I couldn't bring it in which left me very confused being that it wasn't large or oversized it even felt like it was personal being that I'm a queer femme presenting person. He could've easily checked it if he needed to for security purposes. I also didn't drive there so luckily I was able to put it in my friends car , but if that wasn't the case then what ? I even took it upon myself to look up the dress code before even attending and there was nothing mentioned about no handbags. The food and the drinks where good it was just so over shadowed by the poor service hopefully for their sake and success they will get better I give them a 2/10 as a very prominent Dallas content creator I was very let down by the service provided so on that merit until that's rectified I don't see myself coming back

The food was excellent, besides the portion for the price. I ordered the ox tails with mashed potatoes, (2 meaty ox tails, not large in a large plate/bowl of mash potatoes)with a side of greens. My friend had the lamb chops(bang for the buck) with Mac and cheese with a side of yams. We both had lemon drops which are good. Mac and cheese good, greens alright think they were mustard, yams double negative they weren’t sweet and just too much cinnamon and I like mines chopped not more mashed. I tried the lamb chops they were good. With spinach dip as an appetizer it was good. Just everything came at once as followed

No one was in there but my friend and I. We got seated and not a person in sight but the bar lady who was looking at us, look at her.
Another party came and was seated and then someone came to them. We stopped a lady cleaning(savior) and explained no one has helped us and we was waiting about 30 mins. We didn’t even have water. She got our order and here came everything.
Nice clean environment, great vibe the music be loud so talk before you get there or yell to your neighbor. Parking was ok but if crowded it would be parking on the street. Overall I could give them 5 stars but the service we received and the 4 stars is for the lady who came and got our order who was cleaning up.

Updated 2nd Visit: All I said in my previous review was true which is why I came back! Unfortunately, due to lack of customer service, the nasty attitude of security who looked annoyed he had to stop eating to do his job, and them trying to charge me $10 to park in an empty lot at an empty restaurant, I didn't even stay! CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS! I will only come during the day time for brunch or something. If I hadn't been here before and had a far better experience, I would never come back here, it was that bad. The owner needs to check his staff because they're making him lose money! The kindest person there was the bartender Jay!
First Visit: THE FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE WERE AMAZING!!! When I walked in everyone greeted me and made me feel so welcome! The food made me want to slap somebody! I meaaaaannnn EVERYTHING! We had chicken, fish, dirty rice, and that Rasta Pasta should be outlawed *chef's kiss* Then to top it off, STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE EGGROLLS WITH REAL STRAWBERRIES! I'm coming back for brunch and bring the rest of my crew!
