The Carniceria is a true working meat market with a simple eating area. The Mexican food is outstanding, with amazingly low pricing. The fajitas, mole, and other dishes are highly praised, though the bathrooms are a bit lacking. The service can be a bit standoffish at times, especially for non-Spanish speakers, but the food is good and the service is generally quick. Recently, customers discovered that the restaurant also serves food, with many enjoying the breakfast plate and homemade corn tortillas that are delicious. On Sundays, the best barbacoa is available before 10am, and there are great fresh chicharones and big avocados available if asked for at checkout. People find the staff very friendly and often visit twice a week, appreciating the cleanliness and quick service. Most meals are great, making it a recommended spot for authentic and affordable Mexican cuisine. Parking is usually available next to the entrance.
