CJ's Coffee Roasters on the BLVD at Gateway Village

I make the drive between Dallas and Tulsa and back about once a month and whenever it makes sense, I always try to stop here for a beverage and a treat. I have had a variety of coffee and tea drinks, sandwiches, and items from the bakery. All of them have been very tasty and a good value for the money. The service is always professional and efficient, no small talk expected.

I like the atmosphere in this place, and the coffee is really good and strong. The nitro iced coffee was a little too strong for me; maybe if they added ice to it, it would be much better.
My son ordered a BLT sandwich, and it looked very well made with fresh ingredients.
The tables were dirty, so we had to get napkins to cover it.
The menu says it has gluten-free options, but it is not clear which ones they are.
The staff is not very knowledgeable about the menu items.
The only thing I could see that was designated as gluten-free is the gf oatmeal and peanut butter cookies.
Many folks with celiac have sensitivities to gluten-free oats and to peanuts. So that was kind of sad.
The prices are fair for the quality of the food and coffee.
With that said, I would get coffee here again.

Not the best experience the last two times we’ve been there. Both coffees my husband has gotten has tasted like they have absolutely no flavor when we even asked if they would put extra. Very disappointing because I usually love this place.

We love this place! The coffee and smoothies are amazing! They offer gluten free food which is great for our family and it is super delicious, often a rarity when it comes to gluten free options. The best part of everything is that they have amazing staff and service that go above and beyond. My husband lost something really important when he was there and I called the shop and they helped me look for it even though it was right before closing. It wasn't there, but I appreciate the effort none the less! Truly awesome place and people. Thank you!

First time here today: almost every open table and booth was dirty with either crumbs, a sticky mess, spilt coffee, or plates/trash from the previous customers. Not the place I want to come sit down at with my laptop. Environment is a bit on the louder side with louder conversations and music, definitely a cool ambiance but not my cup of tea for a coffee shop that I want to spend a few hours at. Maybe I just picked the wrong spot to do some work at and that could be on me. Also the black coffee was sour but maybe that’s just my taste buds being used to Folgers. Place has a lot of potential, but having someone regularly cleaning tables/trash could’ve made all the difference for me.

So glad we have a real coffee place here in town! Their menu is really good its real food, not pre packaged stuff made at an offsite facility like Starbucks down the road. Their biscuits are really good to start your morning; only $4 which is really a good value in comparison to Chick Fil A or Starbucks. Their coffee is good & hands down the best place for a coffee lover in Denison

The manager, Angela is very welcoming, and warm. She made some great recommendations which we loved! We began with the rosemary sourdough bread which they make right there, with some minced garlic in olive oil. Too bad we couldn't buy some bread to take home since it's made to order.
The vegan wrap was delicious with their home made creamy garlic dressing and the blackened salmon skillet came on a bed of perfectly cooked and seasoned vegetables! Both dishes were so fresh! The cortado was perfectly balanced and very well made!
The music matched the ambience and enhanced it.
This is a must visit if you are looking for some healthy fresh food or a great cup of coffee!
They also have another newer location in downtown Denison.

The staff was energetic and very welcoming! I actually made a joke to the young lady when I walked in, I was still waiting for someone to show up, but thought I had to go to the counter because she came right out and said What can I get for you?! With great energy! That kind of stuff is overlooked but I wanted to make sure it was recognized
