Went in at lunch and had the Bacon Cheeseburger, the toasted buns and crispy bacon just hit the spot. Our waitress was very efficient with a great sense of humor. I noticed other tables having delicious breakfast plates and plan on coming back to get breakfast!

Food was mediocre. My skillet was wet and flavorless. My eggs were cold and my veggies were still cold and hard.Customer service was ok.

We generally really enjoy this cafe and use to visit often. Tonight however my parents were in town and we tried to bring them here for dinner, we walked in the door at 730 and were basically told to leave. The girl seating people said “how many” and when I told her 10 she said “well our kitchen closes at 8” and lobby at 830”. I was appalled that she basically said I’m too lazy to take care of you tonight! Very disappointing and upsetting considering we have been here so often!

We generally really enjoy this cafe and use to visit often. Tonight however my parents were in town and we tried to bring them here for dinner, we walked in the door at 730 and were basically told to leave. The girl seating people said “how many” and when I told her 10 she said “well our kitchen closes at 8” and lobby at 830”. I was appalled that she basically said I’m too lazy to take care of you tonight! Very disappointing and upsetting considering we have been here so often!

Our Family loves this place. Wife and i live in Dallas and our sons goes to UNT. So now its become a routine every weekend to come eat here since discovering it a few months ago. Best food period end of story. If this place was near us is Dallas we would eat it daily. If i have a complaint about this place is the booths. Very old and torn. Other than this place is gem. Edit. Back from this review multiple times since. They fixed the seats. So we have been back atleast a dozen times since and for us it’s consistency. And this place is 💯 every time. If you are in the area the family and i highly recommend it. Pancakes 🥞 are 2nd 2 none. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy
For us by far this is the best restaurant in Denton. Great food, great service. We go there at least once a week. Highly recommend the burgers and the fried catfish dinner.

We have been going to Sidewalk Cafe at least once a week for several years. I cannot tell you how much I love this place! The owners and managers are friendly, courteous, and helpful. I love how all the staff interacts with each other, and you can tell they enjoy working together. And yet, they work diligently to give good service. The food has always been exceptional! We would be going every day if we could!

I don’t like to gatekeep, but I also don’t want to jinx a good thing—and this place is definitely one of Denton’s hidden gems. I’ve been coming to Sidewalk Café & Bistro for about a year now, and every single visit has been fabulous. Great home-cooked food, a wide variety to choose from, excellent customer service, and prices that are hard to beat. I have never once been disappointed. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s a must-try in Denton!
