This restaurant is a gem in Dripping Springs. Located next to a texaco gas station, the food here punches well above its weight. My wife and I go here fairly often and can speak firmly that the food is consistent and authentically Italian. It's not spicy as you'd expect in an Italian restaurant. Carmela's has been the place to be for around 20 years. We've been going there since the sisters owned it. If I had to pick my favorite Italian place in the world, it would be Carmela's on Hamilton Pool. The pizza and pasta is always great. My grandkids love the cheese pizza and spaghetti & meatballs. The prices have gone up a bit lately but the food is worth every penny. Genuinely, the most authentic Italian food I have ever had.
