“My husband and I went here for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised with this small town find! The two girls running it were very sweet and aimed to please. The service was excellent! We got the fried catfish, which was delicious. I was a little disappointed in the potato salad, which was very plain, but the dessert made up for it! I can't remember what it was called, but had crust, cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and lots of whip cream. So good! This is a must - try place!”

“1st time diners. We ordered the chicken fried steak. It was very good! Not a lot of dough and it was filled with steak. It’s much better than the cfs at The Forge and The Moore Store in Ben Wheeler. Service was great, too. Definitely recommend.”

“Delicious! We will be returning to try more dishes. We tried the Goat Cheese app, Raviolis, and Pork Belly. The Chocolate dessert was heaven! Loved the wine so much we bought a bottle to go home. Staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt like fine dining but in a comfortable way that didn't make us not so fancy people feel out of place. We will be back on a Thursday to try that lasagna!”

“I was working a job in Dallas and headed back to Baton Rouge when I pulled off the road for the night in Van TX when I saw Soulman’s BBQ. Unfortunately it was closed and I was wishing I could have been a bit earlier. A few weeks later I found myself driving through the area again and decided to stop. Damn, I’m glad I did. “We ordered the holiday meal for Thanksgiving. It was excellent. The turkey was totally pre-cooked and sliced. It was tender and tasty. The cornbread stuffing was great. The vegetables and rolls were fantastic.
This meal was far superior than the meal we got from a chain restaurant last year.”

“The people who own the restaurant are super nice, hardworking people! The whole family have jobs there. Mom, dad and their girls. The food is awesome! I totally recommend to go there for top notch Chinese food. The restaurant is always clean. I've never used the restroom there so I can't comment on those. I order from a selection of a few things. The beef and broccoli-just great! It was a bit better before the cook(dad) hurt his shoulder (I think). Then it's sesame chicken, orange chicken, pot stickers or lo mein. All just great! Not sure if it has MSG or not.”

“Gather ’round the drive-thru, friends, for a tale as tangy as horsey sauce and as mysterious as the name “Arby’s” itself.

There I was, staring at the towering neon hat of delicious destiny. I pulled up, rolled down the window, and whispered, “Give me the meats.” They knew what I meant. A Beef ‘n Cheddar arrived like a greasy gift from the Roast Beef gods, its cheese sauce defying gravity and possibly FDA regulations.

But let’s talk horsey sauce. Spicy. Mysterious. Probably made in a lab where condiments are dared to dream. I applied it liberally, because this isn’t amateur hour. One squirt too many and my sinuses were clearer than a sermon on Sunday.

And then it hit me — Arby’s = RB’s = Roast Beef. My life flashed before my eyes in the shape of curly fries. The branding was never a mystery. It was a meat-aphor all along.
