This place was amazing food was great and plentiful, came out hot and seasoned. The staff was amazing. They had boudin egg rolls which I didn’t expect so of course I had to try them and they were amazing. So if you’re ever in the Area try them out. The burger I got was Emil’s Burger and it was also great. Is a small place but worth the right squeeze.

Was just passing thru.. so it's not like I'll probably ever be going again.. but we enjoyed our food and visit.. everyone was friendly. We had the cheeseburgers on jalapeño sour dough. One with fries. The menu board behind the counter is hard to read for us older ones.. they have another handheld menu but there is no pricing on it. We also got a sm chili to go and a chocolate shake. We have not tried the chili yet.. it was a fun place to see. I should've put my name on the ceiling as well..

OMG. We went for A motorcycle ride. Trying to stay away from the rain. Stopped in El Campo to go potty. Looked up A place to eat. Saw this place. So glad we came. The burgers are fabulous. I got the cheeseburger. My husband got the Breakfast burger with mushrooms. They do not serve alcohol. But that's ok. Not A huge place. Looks like maybe 8 tables. They play country music. Not to loud.

Old school burger joint. The Chili was phenomenal, crackers, onions, cheese on the side. Double cheeseburger and a Ruben both juicy delicious and large. I’m a large dude and I left full with leftovers. Don’t forget to leave room for pie. The peach cobbler was also well received.

I’ve been here twice for lunch. The service is Texas friendly and fairly quick for custom orders. The decor is Texas home. The food is Texas good. This time I enjoyed my Texas Burger. My husband had the Reuben and loved it. We brought our adult sons who had the patty melt and the regular hamburger and were well pleased. The ambiance music is cheerful country with a smattering of contemporary western, which kept us entertained with conversation about music, artists, and country music culture. We had a pleasant lunch.

This Chicken Fried Chicken used to be delicious. Lot's of flavour, good portion, etcetera. Unfortunately, in recent, the chicken has gotten so unbearably salty that I don't know how this isn't a health hazard. My tongue BURNS due to the amount. I cannot overstate how disappointing it is to get your food after being so hungry only for it to be downright inedible. Additionally, the potatoes are hard as rock in some areas.

My wife has family in El Campo and grew up going there, but we never knew about Emil's place! We are so glad we found it on our last visit. What a great place! The atmosphere and service and food are all the best! We love classic businesses like this that have a ton of history, but this one goes above and beyond that with amazing gourmet offerings, from super tasty burgers to the sweet potato cobbler a la mode. Yum! We are so glad we stopped at Emil's. Highly recommend you take the time to support this local business and treat yourself!
