“Wife and I were driving thru El Campo and decided to top by this place at 5pm. Asked the owner for recommendations, so we ordered a hamburger and chicken sandwich combos. We received our food pretty quickly. Hamburger meat was one of the best I've tasted in a long time and my wife said her sandwich was delicious. Dining and bathroom areas were clean. Thinking about stopping back on the way back home.”
“So we stumbled upon this gem when passing through. Man oh man is this place amazing!!! The place is clean and attentive waitress and staff. The food is fresh to order and the horchata is sooo good. I got the street tacos make them premium ones it's so worth it. My husband had a burrito which he thoroughly enjoyed. We now stop in every single time we pass through. Also don't forget to visit the candy store across the street. Sooo many goodies”
“Stopped here for lunch on the way home from the coast.Lone Star Cafe is a small community café between two towns and very much worth pulling over for of you're in the area. The food was served without hast and very homey. I wish the taco meat had a little more seasoning, but the chicken was on point and something I'll try preparing at home. Can't wait to visit again.”
“We had a slow start. I had made reservations for 7:30pm which that was fine. My wife and I got there 7:24pm. They sat us the chips and salsa came immediately. But then we sat until 7:54pm before anyone came back to take our drink order. Once they finally did come by they were very apologetic about the ordeal. Normally I would've gotten up and walked out. But it had been along time since my wife and I had a chance to get out for ourselves. The food was great BUT y'all really need to come down on the prices. Wow!! $120.00 for two people. That's plum crazy and ridiculous. It will be a long time before we come back there. If we ever do go back.”
“I love this place! I got a delicious, creamy oatmilk latte and my boyfriend got an even more delicious vanilla cappuccino. The environment is perfect to study, bring family, or plan a date. The cherry on top was the great service from the baristas!”
“Amazing old fashioned place to eat where the food is cooked right and the service is down to earth and friendly.I hope this place stays here for many more years!!!”
“It's one of my favorite places to eat for breakfast. They have served great breakfast and they will fill you up. They have all types of Mexican type breakfast to choose from. So if your in town visiting with friends or family. Go in and get a great breakfast.”
“The crawfish were amazing. The Blackened Mahi Mahi and Buffalo Shrimp were delicious. I did not expect this at all. Always driven past it and we are so happy we stopped and tried this place out. My kids loved feeding the ducks, turtles and catfish.Wheelchair accessibility: Good access ??”
“Nice and spicy crawfish. the 2 lbs I got was delicious, however they didn't put everything in the bag I got to go. Got 2 potatoes to go along with it, but they forgot those. They weren't even that busy, but it was an honest mistake. I got it to go so I never checked till I got home.”
“Just had great breakfast here. Great service. Ordered migas a la mexicana and a potato egg and cheese taco that was huge. Wife had nopales and chorizo which she loved. Not oily at all. Highly recommend.”
“Best barbacoa tacos around. Great amount of meat in each taco. Taste on point and the tortillas on point ? nice and fluffy and fresh!!!! Thank you so much #YUM #FOODIE #local6guide”
“So glad I stopped in. It looks like a place that serves good food, just from the outside, and that is fully borne out! Lovely fresh food and red and green salsas that are (a) DELICIOUS and (b) "take no prisoners" . . . they are HOT! (I am sure they have mild salsa for Milquetoasts, but I suggest their house salsas!) Highly recommended.”
“Excellent doughnuts!! I also had a beacon and egg biscuit with a coffee. The service was great, a very kind lady help me with all my questions. I will definitely go back. The place was very nice with a local feel to it.”
“When I entered the restaurant they have a cute selfie area however the staff did not welcome us in. They stared at us and I had to ask if it was self seating and they continued on their cell phones. I can say that the pupusas were delicious. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu items.”
“Highly recommend, appetizers calamari ( peanut sauce)and mushrooms perfectly fried. Fish and shrimp lightly breaded and not oily. Homemade cole slaw fresh.Worth the drive from cypress,tx.Also recommend Christin's oughnut shop located in same strip mall,”
