Short version: great food, fun atmosphere, excellent service! This is a friendly bar and grill located in small town with excellent food and service. I started with an order of chips and salsa that came with a side of creamy jalapeño and cilantro dip. The chips were made fresh and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. Great food, excellent service. Lots of items on the walls to look and laugh at. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside it is cozy and comfortable. The staff makes you feel welcome and the food is country cooking at its best. I'll be back and bringing friends.

Stopped here for lunch on the way home from the coast.Lone Star Cafe is a small community café between two towns and very much worth pulling over for of you're in the area.The food was served without hast and very homey. I wish the taco meat had a little more seasoning, but the chicken was on point and something I'll try preparing at home.Can't wait to visit again.
