Food is Great, Delicious on Time Must try ☺️👍🏼❤️
if a restaurant closes @8pm that means 8pm not 745pm..
I went to order food for my whole family and friends which probably would have came out to around $200, + dollars at 740pm they denied me and told me that the owners requested for the kitchen to close down there kitchen that's terrible never again will I step a foot in that restaurant.
This food is good. I am very impressed. I felt like I was back home in New York for sure.

787 Restaurant & Bar offers a taste of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine that will transport visitors back to their childhood. The tostones, arroz con gandules, and chuleta frita are heavenly, although the coconut dessert tembleque might be out of stock. The paella is good, but some dishes could be better. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the servers are polite and helpful. The restaurant's name pays homage to the island's area code, and the ambiance reflects a thoughtful effort to capture the spirit and warmth of Puerto Rican culture.
Customers praise the restaurant's fried pork chop, beans and rice, and plantains, which they describe as excellent. The mofongo con camarones, a traditional dish made of mashed green plantains with sautéed shrimp, is well-executed with a firm yet tender texture and a subtle garlic flavor. The arroz y habichuelas (rice and beans), a staple in Puerto Rican cuisine, are also commended for their balanced seasoning and traditional preparation. Many mention that the food is crazy good, with one customer highlighting that mufungo, essentially Puerto Rican turkey stuffing made from plantains, is a healthier option and pairs well with chicken, seafood, steak, or pork.
The dining experience at 787 Restaurant & Bar is further enhanced by courteous and attentive service, as well as the clean and inviting atmosphere that celebrates Puerto Rican heritage. The staff mainly speak Spanish, adding to the authenticity of the place, which most guests appreciate. Visitors also note that the restaurant has a sports bar vibe with large TVs and tables, making it suitable for casual gatherings. Overall, the restaurant delivers a commendable culinary experience for those seeking authentic Puerto Rican flavors in El Paso. The owner’s honesty, courtesy, and professionalism are highly praised, reflecting the restaurant’s reputation as a reputable and genuine spot for Puerto Rican cuisine.
