Barrio Eats & Drinks Reviews
Pleasantly surprised, I thought I was walking into hole in the wall restaurant, instead, I found a beautiful upscale Mexican cuisine restaurant with a beautiful table setting. No store brought chips and salsa was the first clue. Beautiful water glass with classy water refill carafe and cloth napkins (at lunch time). Service was great and menu was appetizing. I deserved this and will treat myself again soon!
delicious 👍 food n beautiful place
The food was excellent! Nice atmosphere and good service! The Suiza enchaladas are a must. The drinks were so awesome and price was reasonable.

Barrio Eats & Drinks is a must-visit for authentic Mexican food in the heart of downtown El Paso. Upon entering, guests are greeted by friendly staff and unique water carafes that add elegance to the dining experience. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including Barbacoa Norteña, Shredded Chicken Enchiladas, Mole, and Pablanos en crema, all made with love and care. The restaurant provides an upscale atmosphere with classy table settings and no store-bought chips and salsa. Guests are encouraged to try the Sopa de Fideo and save room for dessert—the Churros with strawberry and pecan ice cream are a highlight. While some reviews mention that the wait time can be long, the attentive and friendly service, along with the flavorful dishes, make Barrio Eats & Drinks a place worth returning to. It is conveniently located just steps from San Jacinto Plaza, making it an ideal spot for those enjoying entertainment or business in downtown El Paso. With favorites like chicken enchiladas suizas, pollo en crema, and ribeye, the restaurant has something to please everyone. The fideo and coffee are also highly recommended, with many saying it feels like a dish made by someone's Abuelita.
