Cassava Reviews
Julie and I just stopped in on an impromptu "we're hungry" Saturday eastside drive. It was our first time here. We sampled the Beef Empanadas, tostones and of course a cubano.

Cassava is a restaurant that serves delicious and authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, bringing authentic flavors to El Paso from San Juan. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including bistec encebolla'o (cubed steak), carne frita encebollada, cassa-pleta sandwich, masitas de pollo (fried chicken), and empanada tripleta. The portions are generous, with the food made from fresh ingredients that are well-seasoned. The service is knowledgeable and friendly, with staff eager to make recommendations. A recent customer praised the fantastic service from a staff member who helped with a special order, noting that it exceeded expectations. For first-timers, the Caribbean Sampler is highly recommended. The restaurant is kid-friendly, featuring a kids' menu with tasty options. Beverages include guava juice, lemonade, and Tropi cola champagne soda. The atmosphere is clean and fresh, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. While many customers love the flavors and generous servings, there have been some concerns about longer wait times. However, with its authentic flavors and delicious desserts, Cassava remains a must-visit for anyone craving Puerto Rican food.
