Kind staff and homemade flavorful meals. Red rice is yummy yummy. Caldo de res tastes authentic. It tastes like the cook is one of my old aunts. Very convenient that they have a parking spot, you can just get out in one of the exits from 1-10 and then keep going, skipping downtown traffic, but with a downtown sort of experience, cause it is 2 blocks away from San Jacinto Plaza
If you are a traveler passing by El Paso, this is a good spot to stop and go.

This place is the best tasting food I’ve ever had while visiting El Paso. Right by downtown a block from my hotel. What a find!! Great value too. Definitely will be back. The only negative is that they close at 4 or I’d probably visit twice a day dosing my stay. :)

DRMR is the bomb 💣!!! I work in Downtown EL Paso and Love it! Love everything about it, they are real Mexican cooks! The food tastes so savory and delicious with fair shares. The caldo de res is addictive 😝 even though they’re just a few workers in there, they do really try to keep you happy and well served, my only complaint to DRMR is that they close down way to early, sometimes we hold meetings at 6pm and it will be amazing being able to get some early dinner from this awesome place to our attendees. Other than that, yes!! Please Doña Rosa give us more of your wonderful cooking. 🧑🍳

My experience was not good, the service was very slow, the food was tasteless, we had chips and guacamole, enchiladas and chile rellano. Other than the chips everything else had no flavor.
Prices are high for a Mexican restaurant although this is a small place it is not your typical whole in the wall. It would be nice if they gave you free chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants do.
The waitress apologized for the slow service on being served our meal and gave me a free hibiscus margarita which was delicious.
If I go back, I will go during happy hour and try something off the happy hour menu. My family and friends had been here previously and recommended it so we could have just came on an off evening. For that reason I will give it another try when I am in the area.
I really wanted to like my first experience here and give a positive review because I like to support small restaurants but this one missed the mark for me.
