Taqueria El Cometa Reviews
Saliendo del estacionamiento del aeropuerto, le pregunté a una empleada donde me recomendaría unos buenos tacos. Ella me recomendó El Cometa. Dijo que las flautas están muy buenas. Muy buena recomendación. Si me gustaron.
at least on the N.Mesa location, they have the same girl handling the register (money ,c. cards) putting the cuttlery on the plates just comming out of the kitchen, also serving the drinks puting the lids on with the same gloves she handle money. just careless about contaminating the dishes not only from covid, but all the other hazards like salmonella, etc.
if you want to stay safe, stay away from this place

Taqueria El Cometa is a restaurant that offers delicious tacos and flautas, with the latter being a favorite for some, reminiscent of the taste in Juárez. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, although the loud music can sometimes make conversation difficult. Many customers appreciate the friendly and honest staff, who often go beyond their duties, such as finding lost wallets and returning them with all contents. The food is known for its large portions and affordable prices, making it a good choice for a satisfying meal. The salsa bar is great and offers a wide selection, adding to the overall experience. Tacos, including the pastor, are good, though some find the pastor not made the traditional way and tasting similar to store-bought options. Flautas are especially delicious and a highlight of the menu. Several customers mention that the food is consistently fresh and flavorful, with one noting that their favorite is the burrita, which they get more than six times a month. The environment is generally welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive, although some have experienced slow service at times. Customers also enjoy customizing their meals with condiments, salsa, cucumbers, lettuce, and tomato from the salad bar. However, some reviews point out that the location on Mesa Street can be dirty, and the flautas and meat are often pre-cooked, dry, and not as fresh as expected. Despite these issues, many still find the tacos and overall experience enjoyable, making Taqueria El Cometa a popular spot for flavorful food and friendly service.
