This place far exceeded my expectations! I’m a very picky eater and my burrito had stuff on it that I would have asked to have taken off if I would’ve known, BUT I took a huge bite and to my surprise I loved it! It tasted so fresh and hearty at the same time. The burrito was enormous! I couldn’t believe the price either! My son had an Aqua Fresca that tasted like they took the juice straight from the melon that day. Wow! The workers were super friendly and quick! Oh, and the beans, salsa and chips were so good! I was full halfway through my burrito but couldn’t stop eating. Eat here, you’ll thank me after your first bite.

Second visit for burrito at Rivas, not disappointed at all. Nothing fancy, clean restaurant and friendly people. Had the carne asada burrito, filled with nicely cut cubes of beef, pico de gallo and guacamole. Served with a very mild green salsa and a hot red salsa, probably chile arbol. My first visit was breakfast, ordered an egg and bacon burrito and could not finish it, very large. I went to Rivas on the suggestion of a friend who grew up in San Diego. He said Rivas' style was what he remembers in Califa! I think the prices are fair and I will be back. I want to try the rolled tacos and some other menu items.

The food is delicious! Generous portion sizes and friendly staff. I recommend the California Burrito or the Carne Asada fries. But you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's all good. Everything is cooked to order and what I really love about their carne asada is the fact that it does not have any fat! A lot of other taco shops in town chop up their meat by mixing a lot of fat in the meat to save money. Rivas Taco shop does not do that. You get fresh sirloin with no fat in your taco.

The California burrito made here in Texas just like back home from San Diego I love it, The taste is the same and its a very friendly environment always clean and with a fast serves you get a hot Mexican meal every time I recommended to all who visit El Paso Tx.
