It's like having breakfast at your grumpy tia's or tio's house...some things are good, some things not so much but always served by a grumpy TIO in this occasion. Not much in the way of service and good luck trying to get a refill of your styrofoam cup of coffee. I appreciate neighborhood holes in the wall but damn...a tiny bit of effort would be appreciated

I recently visited this small restaurant for breakfast. The food is good and the service is decent but they don't seem to get new customers very often. I honestly was not impressed with anything. The price is about the same as many other restaurants around the area and it is not the best option. It is a good option for those that live near the restaurant.

I have tried many, many Mexican restaurants in El Paso and I like Lulu's best. I may not be Mexican, but I know Mexican food and have eaten it all over the country. The cheese enchiladas here are the best I've ever tasted because the sauce is so flavorful. I also like their chile rellenos, which aren't on the menu for some reason. They make a hot sauce that is exceptional; ask for it. It's funny that I looked all over El Paso for good Mexican food, but finally found the best less just one mile from my home. I wish they opened earlier, at least one or two days a week, so I could try breakfast there.
