I’ve only tried a few things from Marinas, my favorites so far being her tiramisu, which is absolutely excellent and very delicious! Also, her pretzels are great, but get them nice and fresh early on. Today I tried the ham and Swiss in a croissant, but it was cold. I prefer a hot sandwich so that the cheese would be nice and melted.
This place is amazing! I came in for the first time to check it out and I left with two loaves of rye bread for $6, they gave me an extra one for free because they closed in 30 minutes and they didn't want to waste food. The man there was very nice and we had a short conversation. I will definitely be back to try some pastries, they looked delicious.
I had always wanted to try Black Forest cake and finally had a chance to pick one up and try it for a gathering. O M G what I have been missing my whole life! It was not overly sweet, the cream was so light and good, instant favorite. The next week I asked my son to pick up some pastries and I have to say, you can taste the pride they put into their stuff. The cardinal hat pastry looks very simple but when you taste it….. oooooooooooooooo even the crust is good before you...
