I made reservations to highlight where I would like to sit and the occasion (birthday). When I arrived the receptionist just asked how many in the party, even after I told her I had a reservation. She did not look it up, so she didn't know where to sit us or the occasion, very disappointing. when we were finally seated, the waiter came and asked if we needed a drink or something, didn't introduce himself or say "welcome or good evening". I though the food was good and delivered timely. We also had to find our waiter to get the check. We may or may not return. Thanks!
We dined at Sabor on New Year's Eve, and the service was attentive and friendly, and the margaritas were very good. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. There was a limited menu and a buffet. We enjoyed ourselves and are very appreciative of the kind service. We just found the food to be underwhelming.
Eh. Honestly, just eh. And for the price it shouldn't be. Took a crazy long time to get menus because they are on ipads. Then one of the two our four top was given was dead. Service was just slow despite it not being busy. And the portion sizes are small for the price. I got two birria tacos with beans for $18 but I have had better ones from a food truck for a quarter of the price. Tacos, a shrimp dish, regular burger and kids burger was over $100.
Over priced for very little food. And slow.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend Sabor.
The Thanksgiving buffet was beautiful and tasty! They had a wide variety of food including the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Our family had a very good time and plan on attending next Thanksgiving! A++
Thanksgiving brunch was not good. $59. Overpriced. Smaller # of options and quality not good. The roast turkey was pressed turkey from the deli. Plenty of open tables so reservation wasn't needed. Service was way below average - chased down a server over and over for drinks. Desserts all frozen - thawed out. Won't do this again.
They like to cancel your reservations so don't count on them
Not sure what the 1 star folks are complaining about , but after more than 250
reviews I’ve done here’s my take on Sabor .. service was excellent by Erin … Had wonderfully suggested guest favorites as well as her own personal favs … She was not intrusive on our conversation and timed our food perfectly.. Food was hot and delicious , only complaint would be a little pricey on most items . But it is in The Hotel Paso Del Norte … Thanks Erin for a pleasant dining experience.

We went with a group of 4, it was our first time. The restaurant is nice and maintained. The hamburger (torta) was tasty. They had a mac and cheese that I definitely will need to go back and try again as well. Overall had a good experience!

Hostess provided exceptional customer service. Could not tell you if the food was great or not. Waitress Brittany took over 10 minutes to bring us 2 glasses of water. By the way we never did get our waters.

I enjoyed my avocado-crab appetizer with their special corn chips. There are 2 monitors featuring sports at the bar. Friendly server. Located in the middle of El Paso downtown.
Alejandra was amazing. Her costumer service made the whole experience. Food was timely and delicious. As a whole would recommend, keep up the amazing service !

I usually recommend the carne asada tacos to my colleagues when in town at Sabor but I will no longer be doing so, I just ordered what I typically order every time I’m here and the portion compared to what it used to be is insulting. Needless to say, I’ll probably eat somewhere else given the recent changes in the portion. I’ve attached photos for reference. $18 for 3 mini tacos that barely have meat in them, no thank you.

Excellent food. Sunday Brunch had an outstanding selection and all food was superbly prepared.
