About The Local Fork

The Local Fork is a cozy, warm restaurant with a welcoming log-cabin vibe and comfortable, casual ambiance. The food is really good and great, with huge portions. You can’t go wrong with their fried options; the blooming onion is a delicious must-try, and the chicken fried steak is the absolute best with perfect gravy. The menu is extensive with great variety, featuring items like Chicken Ranch Quesadillas, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Monte Cristo sandwich, bacon jam sliders with fresh cut fries, and pinto beans. The buffet and salad bar look like a good choice, with everything appearing piping hot, quite a selection, and fresh items.

Service is phenomenal, fast, kind, and awesome. The staff is sincere, outgoing without being intrusive, very attentive, courteous, accommodating, and happy to help. The atmosphere is clean and homey, often decorated nicely for Christmas. They bring out complimentary cornbread and dinner rolls with creamy butter, and drinks are served in oversized mason jars. While some vegetables can be a touch water logged and bland, the overall experience is wonderful. It is a great little place and a wonderful stop where you will definitely be back.

Been here 3 times in 4 years. The first time was great. The second time, 1 grandson loved the food, 1 grandson couldn't eat his it was so awful, so I gave him the food I ordered, husband thought it was ok, I thought it tasted ok also but didn't eat much because I did give to my one grandson. It was my birthday 7/30 so I chose The Local Fork for dinner. They only accepted cash, they did not have any beverages except tea or water, they had a fan blowing on the salad bar, they were...read full review

Great food! Great people!

This was our first visit. Our waitress (Rachel I think) was very kind and always made sure we had what we needed. Food was definitely home cooking and made with care. Potion sizes were good. We will return again next time we are in Emory.
