I love to find "where the locals eat" spots, and this is one. The waitstaff knew many of the people when they walked in. Food was home-cooked and delicious. It could use some upgrades, but then it might lose that "hometown" feel. Pick this place over the chains. You won't be disappointed.
Driving up - the looks were off-putting. The inside could use a GOOD spring cleaning. But as we timidly walked in for our first meal...customers assured us all food was good. The 2 wait staff were accommodating. My chicken fried steak, fried okra & corn were quite good!

We had a great lunch here! We ordered the chicken fried steak that had been hand cut and battered. It was quite good. The service was very nice as well. The restaurant itself is a bit run down (including the bathrooms) but that's some of the charm I suppose.
