we visited the lava grill for a special celebration for the family. We got there too early for the hibachi tables, but were told we could still be served hibachi without the performance. The first thing we smelled when we walked into the restaurant was mildew when they seated us the tables were slightly rundown. We thought Covid hit them hard. However it just went down hill from there. They brought the children's food first. One person ordered duck and it took them 30 minutes to realize they didn't have any duck. An hour later, after the children were served and becoming restless, they brought the four adults food. The food was cold. One plate had ice cold calamari on it.Drinks were rarely refilled and only at our request. When we told the waitress we weren't pleased with the service she didn't seem to care neither did the manager. this was a $250 meal. After we told the waitress we weren't happy with her service, she added an 18% tip onto our bill. for the sake of the children, we decided not to push this too far. We used to go here all the time. The grandkids love the show. They pretty much ruined this event for our family celebration. We won't ever be going back. Caution if you decide to use this restaurant.

I ordered a few things to be delivered to my hotel room. The New York roll was okay, although they didn't include chopsticks. And there were two cut shrimp tails in the roll. But it was tasty. The rest not so much. I ordered the pad Thai with vegetables and tofu. The option of vegetables was weird and what I got was even weirder. Broccoli and baby corn, okay. But bell peppers? Zucchini?! The whole dish tasted like dish soap and I couldn't finish it. I also got the fried mashed potatoes, because I love potatoes. This could just be a personal taste, but the breading was weird, the potatoes bland, and the dipping sauce didn't seem to match the flavor of each. So three stars for the sushi, I guess, but it's not worth a return.

It was crowded which is to be expected for Valentine's Day. Servers were overwhelmed and understaffed. The food was WAY over salted and over cooked. Chef didn't make enough vegetables and since we were served last we got a soupy soy dregs of vegetables. We had ordered double vegetables and the chef forgot so he had to go get more and make them. By the time they were done we were mostly finished with our meal. Not a memorable Valentines dinner - at least not in a good way.

I placed an order for pick up and paid for it. 5 minutes later I get a email stating my order was cancelled. Tried to call the number listed and no answer. Who cancelled the order because it was not me. Hard to support when you have bad customer service.

The sushi is always good. Service is pretty good. They're in a strip center so wouldn't say the ambiance is great. It's just 2 large rooms. One with a few Hibachi tables & a dining room. My 3 star review is because they've gotten SO EXPENSIVE! Almost $20 or more for a sushi roll when they used to cost $8.00 to $13.00. Dinner plates are close to $30.00. In an upscale sushi restaurant I'd expect these prices but NOT at this place. Sorry LG! You've priced yourself so high we don't choose to eat here anymore.

We have had a tradition of going for hibachi for our Holiday celebration with our adult kids for years. We have been to this particular restaurant several times but this year will be our last. The service was very slow. Our "chef" was very unenergetic and complained about not having any money?? The restaurant was messy. Food was okay but nothign special for the price we paid. Very, very dissappointed!!!

Never coming back here. My friend and I ordered Sashimi bento box for lunch. We specifically told the waitress who was very nice to not give us the white fish (Escolar) because it will make us sick. When she brought the order, we got the white fish-Escolar!!! We asked her to tell the chef. She came back saying the chef said the fish we got was Yellow Tail. We both noticed the fish was VERY white but we gave them credit of the doubt. Many sushi restaurants substitute Escolar and call it White Tuna. Escolar is extremely fatty. Many people will get uncontrollable oily poop by eating Escolar. This is why it's illegal in Japan and Italy. Both my friend and I got bad diarrhea several hours after eating the lunch. Is it a coincidence? I think not. Terrible!

The best sushi, Pad Thai, and everything! Consistently great food and service for many years.

We wanted a Japanese experience and thought this location would be that place. This is an average restaurant with little energy and feeling of being welcome. The food was as expected, about average. This is one of those places you might want to try if you are nearby...

Super nice experience on a Wednesday night to honor my daughters birthday. I've been here a few times since fish dishes aren't my 1st choice. So I had chicken and fried rice and they were spectacular. We sat at the grill for the floor show which gets loud at times but is fun to watch. My Granddaughter is NOTA fan of the fire display. Service was beyond top notch as none of our party of 6 wanted for anything...ever. The experience is pricy. Our group had a tab of over $160 before the tip. But for occasional gatherings it can't be beat. Just make sure you're prepared for the "landing". This is my daughters favorite restaurant so it was worth it all to see her so happy. The furnishings are a bit dated and besides the hibachi grill I didn't really catch an oriental vibe. But then again, I'm no expert and I was there to enjoy my family's company. Can you really put a grade on that?

I Don't recommend. Along with the rude hostess the food is tasteless. Sushi has gotten much thinner but the price has gotten higher. Inflation or not, if you are doing to up the price atleast keep the same product you once had. I won't ever go there again, please save your money and find another place not ripping you off.

Do not order hibachi from the kitchen. The meat n shrimp on my order was tough. There was no spice at all . Definitely not worth it. Will not be back.
