The mom and mamaw got taken out for Mother's Day. It was wonderful food, service and the atmosphere.

I don’t know what has changed but the quality of the food (dry chewy chicken, overcooked fried rice, dry crunchy rice) and cooking process has gone SO far down hill in the last year. We have spent thousands here over the years.. and unfortunately we will have to start going somewhere else. Disappointed.

Have always loved this place. I managed/bartended there for many years in the 2000's. The owners are passionate and all about quality and service. Great people. The best in town. And if you want an amazing summer drink, with a hint of sweetness, try the Sunset Passion! I know, because I invented it!!

Unfortunately, this visit was less than desirable. We made a reservation at 4:30 and were seated quickly, however, it took 30 mins for us to receive drinks and appetizers. The server seemed like he didn’t want to be there, let alone take our orders. Shout out to Moises, our chef, who was able to partially save the visit due the service provided. For the price we paid, the food portions were for lunch. The chef next to us kept placing dirty dishes with half eaten food on our table from the table next to us while our family was still eating. Not sanitary.

Not what I was expecting based on the prior reviews, disappointing.

The guy who took our order and met us when we first got there never smiled never looked like he was happy to be there like he had no emotions. We paid almost 200 dollars and my daughter got barely any rice with her meal. I got the filet minon and chicken and it was to salty , no yum yum sauce. Ive been to a few hibachi places and this was the worst ever. I will neve return . The cook was a little better but not great like most hibachi cooks. The one next to us was rocking. Never again. Waste of money and time

I've been going to Asahi for years. I'm never disappointed. The food is always good. The filet in my opinion is the best thing on the menu! Scallops were good as well as the lobster. We went on a Monday evening, so there weren't a lot of other big groups at the hibachi tables, which was nice. It was a little quieter than normal.

Great customer service and lobster roll!
Main hibachi course was very mediocre
Calamari tasted reheated from the freezer
Really appreciated our server

We love Asahi! This cozy hibachi restaurant is definitely Flower Mound's finest! They have a great selection, and the restaurant is lively and fun! The service was excellent and the food delicious. They also offer sushi and other Japanese cuisine in addition to hibachi.
My husband and I dined here for Christmas Eve dinner, and I wish I would have gotten the hibachi chef's name because he was the best hibachi chef that we have ever had in any restaurant. He was cordial, funny, efficient, and the food tasted amazing! Also, his tricks were fabulous...and not too loud. And something he did that I have never seen before...he did a few tricks AFTER we all had our food (just before cleaning the grill)! We loved that! Thank you for such a delicious and memorable meal!

Tried this place for the first time ever because we were in the mood for Hibachi. Great service throughout from start to finish. Probably the best service I've had at a hibachi. Good food and fun entertainment throughout. Not the best hibachi food I've had, but a solid 8.5/10. Their Chateaubriand was absolutely amazing! Good portions; we were both stuffed after dinner.
All-in-all, a great place, good food, great service, with typical hibachi fun for the family.

The first time I had a bad experience here, I wrote it off as a one-time issue. However now it’s the 3rd time, and I have concerns. I spent $40 on dinner for one person. Every single one of my salmon dishes arrived rotten and completely inedible. The smell was horrific, and I dared taste one piece that I couldn’t finish for concerns of my health. Sushi should be the epitome of fresh, and this place, unfortunately, is lacking.
