We tried lunch on a weekday. There were not too many customers when wee arrived. The Miso soup was not good. It had a strange taste. The Age Tofu appetizer was decent. As for the sushi, we didn't like the Japanese mayo on the Salmon. It retracted from the taste of the fish. Overall, it was not our best experience with a new sushi restaurant.

Went to Asahi last Wednesday to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and I have to say—our server made the entire evening unforgettable. Even though the restaurant was packed, he went above and beyond for us. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. First time there tonight. Food was very good and I loved the ambience. The Chef did a great job and was entertaining. However the server was too rushed and trying to carry too many plates and bowls and dropped a whole bowl of soup on my shirt and pants. Very frustrating and wrecked the meal.
