Great place to try variety of ice cream flavors, non-fat, non-dairy etc. variety of toppings. Now they also have cookies, so you can have cookie ice cream sandwiches. Service was good, it was Friday evening so place was was little crowded. We could smell something bad as we entered, not sure what it was but felt uncomfortable.
When I saw the Great American Cookies signage as soon as I walked in, I had to verify it was still a Marble Slab Creamery location. While there were Marble Slab Creamery signage on the freezer selling ice cream cakes, the main menu emphasized Great American Cookies. Since my last visit, the differences were a) the cookie display replaced the waffle bowls & cones; b) lack of the signage of suggested mix-ins; and c) combined ice cream & cookie menu options. As exemplified by the customer ahead of me, folks can still get ice cream with mix-ins. I did not see the shake which I got on my previous visit, so I ordered a Cookies & Cream shake. While I had not planned on getting any, I also bought a half dozen Cookies & Cream cookies. The employee mentioned that the same parent corporation bought Nestle Tollhouse, so existing Nestle Tollhouse locations will be rebranded as Great American Cookies. If locations were selling ice cream, similar to the Highland Village location, they may be combo stores. My credit card shows Marble Slab Creamery & Great American Cookies; I assume that is the name of the combo stores.

Marble Slab offers delicious ice cream at a very reasonable price. One can choose one of their delicious concoctions or create a new one with unlimited mix-ins. Marble Slavs also features shakes, cakes, and sundaes on their menu! So much to choose from! My only concern is this location is very understaffed. The last time we were there, it was a teenage girl working by herself. She was awesome - very pleasant and efficient! But with the line at least 8 people long the whole time we were in the store, she could have definitely used an extra set of hands.

Poor customer service. We asked for a quart and the manager was visually irritated and said that was a call ahead order only. We have never had to call ahead for a quart in the 20 years we have been going here. Needless to say we decided to leave and go to Handels.

This was great ice cream! My kids loved it, as did my wife and I. They have a lot of different combinations to choose from. They let you sample any of the flavors. It was very clean. They had paper towel readily available. Which was awesome due to my kids needing them. All around good ice cream!
