“Delicious! We’re just driving through town and wanted a quick brunch. We got the brisket, barbacoa, and papas y chorizo. All of them were good; the brisket was hubby’s favorite and I liked the barbacoa best. Important to note that the burritos include exactly what they say. So a brisket burrito is a huge pile of brisket wrapped in a homemade tortilla. No sauce, no cheese, no fillers. Just a huge pile of deliciously flavored meat. I’m not sure I could buy and cook my own brisket for the price I paid for that burrito. They’ll give you salsa to add if you want the flavor boost, and that was also delicious. As of 01/2026, they were $6 each. A lot of meat in a 12” tortilla; and it was delicious and I didn’t have to cook it. And if you’re a keto/carnivore eater, just order it and then give the tortilla to someone you love. I don’t know where else you can get a giant roadside hunk of delicious meat for $6. Highly recommend!“
“Home cooking at its finest.
We flew into Ft Stockton over the weekend during Barrio fest and fortunately discovered this gem while walking around. I love the method of having one item per day and wish I could go back for more of their offerings.
Seriously the best Torta I’ve ever had in my life. Would happily fly back there just for another one.
The world needs more places like La Posada“

“Definitely a hole in the wall kinda place. Did a quick Google search for a burger joint during a road trip, and didn't want to just get McDonalds or something similar. Pulled up and wasn't sure if the place was even open, although I'm glad we braved it and went inside! The staff were pretty friendly, and after going over the menu for a minute, we ordered. First shock was just how cheap it was, haha! Pretty used to $15 burgers now, so to come in under $10 for a whole meal was a pleasant surprise!Food came quick, and while it wasn't the most amazing burger and fries I've had, it was enjoyable enough, and portions wise, seemed WELL worth the price paid! Also sounded like they did like half of burger days or something, where you could get a burger for like $2 or $3, which again, is just nuts to think about nowadays, especially as it's multiple steps above something like the cheapest alternative at McDonald's.The only real detriment goes back to it looking like it's closed. The outside needs a fresh coat of paint and I think it'd be much more appealing (at least to out-of-towners driving through like myself). The inside seemed a bit dated too, although that didn't really bother me at all, as I prefer a greasy spoon type of look anyways. Doesn't help that it seems to be located in an otherwise empty lot, so it again gives off the impression of a closed business. The drive through was a trip too! Although maybe doesn't seem that out of the ordinary considering the food they sell.Happy we stopped by. Better and cheaper than fast food, and I'd rather my money go to a local place anyways.“

“Steak was tender exactly how I want it; okra was exceptional and baked potatoes was on point. Thank you> Means a lot for being miles away from home.“

“Super cozy & local “Cracker Barrel” style restaurant. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot in Fort Stockton other than McDonalds — this is the spot! Stopped by while on the road and the staff was very friendly, service was fast, food was good & complimentary wifi which is awesome for a digital nomad like myself! (came here on a weekday so no wait time but I can see how it might get busy on weekends since it is a bit small)“
