I've loved this place for years and every person I've introduced to Buttons loves it too. We usually go very early or during off times to avoid the crowds because this place is popular and gets very busy (for good reason). Most recently we went for a late lunch around 2:30 in the afternoon and our order was delayed because the kitchen was working on a large catering order. We were not in a hurry and didn't mind but our server was so nice and brought us a second...

It was awsome, really good night out with my wife. The band was sensational, we shared a plate of ox tail. Which was the best I had,I kept looking for grandma back in the kitchen. I'm sure they got her hid in a back room somewhere.

The best comfort food I have ever tasted! The savory grits, the fish ,the french toast, the red velvet cake and so on is top notch and we left before the live jazz started. You can have a conversation without raising your voice. Will return with friends!
