The food is great, but before my husband and I are even halfway finished with our meal they bring the check out (even when it’s not busy) . And we usually want dessert or coffee after but they bring the check out way too early without asking. And it happens all the time, and then it’s hard to get the waiters attention after they give the check. Also find it really odd they don’t have an espresso machine, only premade coffee.

We visit this restaurant regularly and usually have a great experience, but today was disappointing. Our waiter was hardly present, spending most of his time in the kitchen socializing instead of checking in on us. We requested an item at the start of our meal, which was never brought to the table. When he did appear, he seemed unfriendly and annoyed by any requests we made. Service is typically much better here, so I hope this isn’t a sign of declining standards.

This has by far been the worst brunch spot I’ve been to. My friends and I decided to try a new brunch spot on this side of Fort Worth after hearing it was a newer location that just opened up. The wait was not bad for we joined the waitlist online. As we approached the front desk area to check in, we were asked to wait outside since there is no wait area inside. As we got the text to come back in after 7 minutes, we were placed at a table that was harder to get to but absolutely didn’t mind for we are not that high maintenance to really care. When we sat down, it took a bit for our waiter to get to us which is understandable for a Sunday brunch hour. About 15 mins later the waiter finally came and took our order. A good amount of time had passed and the food runner comes and brings our food. But for some reason didn’t want to take the extra step to either put each dish on the table so she stands there waiting for us to extend our hand to grab it from her….the waiter never then checks on us until the end where we are almost done eating as we needed water for we were only drinking the sangria. The food was so unflavorful and bland! As the waiter finally comes…we ask for a glass of water each. He then comes back 10 minutes later as we are already to just grab the check and leave. He drops it off and just walks away. Just before we could even pour the water we look at the cups and they’re all dirty! One of the glasses even had food particles on the rim. We then had to wait another 10 minutes just to wait for the check! I would not recommend coming back to this location nor even recommending it to anyone! The only thing that was great was the sangria and yet I still wonder if the glasses used for that were even clean.

I have never walked away without leaving a tip but the waiter was indifferent and the staff overall unfriendly from strat to finish. I had to ask twice for water and his attitude was distant and uninviting. The location on Camp Bowie has friendly staff so I’ll be going there in the future.

This was my second time visiting First Watch, and I had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server, Mae, made the visit even better. She was super friendly and recommended all of the best things on the menu. I loved every bite! her suggestions really made the meal special. I’ll definitely be coming back!
