Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

I've been a fan of Flying Saucer since moving to DFW 15 years ago. The food is surprisingly good for a bar, my kid begs for their fish n chips. Though beer prices are climbing everywhere, you can still snag a fire sale for $5.

I've been enjoying the Flying Saucer during Amtrak layovers for more than 20 years. I love their encyclopedic beer list, great food, and atmosphere (both inside and outside).

Just stopped in to have a few drinks to celebrate my brother's birthday. Sat on the patio, where other patrons were enjoying food and beverages. We were never greeted despite servers walking around, so we went inside to order. We were instructed to go back to the patio and someone would be with us. No one ever came to take our order or greet us, so we left. Do better.

We visited this location May 23 (Saturday) around noon with our 4 yr old daughter. The plan was to walk around downtown and see the FIFA decorations. We decided to stop by the Flying Saucer and grab our daughter some fries while we had a drink. At first, everything seemed okay, but our daughter wasn't eating. After the initial annoyance, we noticed the fries were rotten. We showed the waitress, she apologized and said she'd get us a new order (SAME ISSUE w/ new order). This place seriously needs a health inspector to visit. I work in the food safety industry, have taken the ServSafe certification...how can you serve rotten food to anyone?

What an amazing place with a view of Sundance Square. So many beers to choose from. Amazing interior with saucers attached on the walls and ceiling. Or sit outdoors and listen to live music. Attentive staff will pick up your empty glasses and answer questions.
Go just for the ambience and venue, if not to try something new.

My friends and I had a great time! We had a few drinks and eats. I had the fish & chips (french fries) and it was delicious! A fun bar with a tavern atmosphere! If you enjoy IPA’s, this is your place!! They do offer a variety of other drink options. A great downtown location where you can choose either the indoor bar area or the spacious patio under the trees.

My bartender Lori (I think that's how her name is spelled 😭) was amazing. I could see how busy she was while I was there, constantly making and serving drinks, but nevertheless she was super kind and patient and took the time to make some recommendations and check in with me. She was awesome, and I would 100% come back here!

The Flying Saucer has a pretty cool interior and the beer selection is great. They have so many choices on tap, including Belgian beers, and seeing La Chouffe on tap there was a big plus for me. The food is decent and the staff is friendly, so it's a good place to grab a drink and some food.
