My kids and I are not from around this area of the county, but my extended family is. We love Mexican cuisine, but have given up finding it in restraunts at home. One of the top priority items on our Texas bucket list was eating some good Mexican food... Southwestern food in this case. LaChosa Fine Food exceeded this to-do item in every category, from the exceptional host to the amazing fare, and very reasonable prices. We arrived about 4:30pm on a Thursday and the place was not crowded at all and very clean. After being seated and presented with the chips and salsa (these are quite excellent in an of themselves), the host intuitively to explained a few menu favorites and then left us to decide. We ordered a lot for four people: * Shrimp stuffed chille reno, * Cowboy Beef, * Chicken enchiladas, * Chicken and beef with shrimp too fajitas for two. Also hells kitchen queso, which is not really spicy but is tasty, and a vanilla milk cake for dessert. That Chille Reno was phenomenal! All of us guests were quite impressed and pleased. The Cowboy beef was very tender and perfectly done, same with the fajitas. The chicken enchiladas delicious! Conversation with the host revealed his brother is the chef in back making the food magic. I've never had sauce that good and they're literally grinding that out from scratch there. Fort Worth and surrounding area residents have a true southwestern hidden gem here.

La Choza has been very good everytime I have gone or picked up from there. I have really enjoyed their relleno, and the flat enchilas with the egg on top, which is a great concept. Today I shall try the Texas Ranger Skillet.

I will admit I was looking kinda rough when I went in with my friends and we were hungry so maybe they thought we were just going to eat chips and run, but when the food did arrive, it was delicious.

Great spot in what feels like the middle of no where. Been coming here for years. The food is fabulous and the owner and wait staff go above and beyond. You have to try the chicken tortilla soup, literally the best ever. Love our little neighborhood dining experience.

Ate here the first time this weekend - will be coming back! This is the only place in Fort Worth we've found that has New Mexico style chili ("stew" on the menu) where the emphasis is the chile peppers themselves - green Hatch chiles, or dried red chili pods - we got the red, which brought back memories of hiking trips near Sante Fe. The Pescado and Shrimp Veracruz had just the right amount of salty capers and fresh garlic in the delicate tomato-based sauce, and enchiladas can come with either or both types of chile sauce on top. We were their early and the proprietor was fun to talk to and happy to explain the menu.

I really wish this place had better food, we live close by and it would be wonderful to have a great restaurant near by. We have been here 4 times and tried a variety of items on the menu hoping the prior meal was a fluke. Each new meal reinforced the disappointment we experienced. It's time to move on, we wont be returning.

Despite its humble location near Lakeside, La Choza Restaurant is a culinary gem. The menu is varied selection of Tex-Mex and Santa Fe style Mexican. It's light and airy, service is great and food is very good value.

Definitely will be coming back just a few things I didn’t like my shrimp nachos still had the tail on them and I wasn’t aware they’d have jalapeños in them but there were the best I’ve had in a long time and the salsa was extremely good I did a take out order and both of the gentleman who helped me were both outstanding the service here is great will definitely come back
