Amazing food and incredible service! Thank you for such a great experience!

I don't get the hype...... Made reservations, arrived on time, table wasn't ready no big deal I get it....But, we were forced to stand in the middle area and constantly move out of servers or guest way for 10 minutes....embarrassing...... Got seated basically in the furthest table out in the far back of the restaurant up against basically a plastic wall made of cloth....So "atmosphere" was a 1 but, I'm giving a 2 to be polite. I've ate at roadside cafés with nicer seating. Our waiter was great, super attentive and constantly asked how we were doing and explained the menu with knowledge and politeness. He gets a 5 🌟, but "service" as far as the food timing ect was absolutely horrible. 15 minutes to bring 3 chips with a piece of meat on them and some thin sliced meat that was cold.....Just gave a 3 based on our waiter the restaurant would get 1 🌟 Food wasn't worth the price, maybe it was just a "off" night or something but for the price this place charges I was expecting EXTREMELY better food.... I'm giving 2 🌟 based on the price -vs- quality of food. I don't mind spending $400 on GOOD food but, I could've went to Cattleman's, H3, hell even Salt Grass and spend $100/$150 and got way more food with better flavor..... The desert was probably the best part of the whole meal and that was probably all frozen bought at some restaurant supply.....sad, I was really expecting so much more for the hype.. I doubt I will ever be back just not worth the price to be seated in a restaurant the quality of a chilli's.......

Experience was horrible. This restaurant typically on point but on this night misses on food, huge miss on service, couldn't get drink refills, ordered drinks that never came. Worst service ever here. Everything from the front door to paying the check was bad. So non-typical for LD and they must get it corrected or will lose their luster.

Everything was amazing. The only critique I have was the margarita spicy was maybe the worst marg I've had for such a fine restaurant. But everything else was amazing: oysters, wild boar ribs, sliders and waygu beef special was worth the splurge!

Server and waitstaff were very kind. Unfortunately, we ordered the tomahawk and it came out cold and the cut of meat was rather fatty. I've had it in the past and it was incredible so needless to say we were very disappointed.

The restaurant has great appeal. The waiter was either over worked or under trained. Communication is a major problem here. Went with my family and they mixed-up temps on our $100+ steak. The waiter drop them off and ignored us for 25 minutes, so we switched and ate them. Flavor is good. The sides didn't come out with the food and had to ask multiple times to get all of them, even the GM said he would fix it, nope. I was finishing with my meal when the last side came out. The GM said he wanted us to order deserts and he would comp them and then only comped 2 of them. On a 800 plus meal with this many mistakes getting 2 free 12 dollar deserts, come on. Also they do not honor veteran's. Overall I was embarrassed bring family from out of state to a Texas steak restaurant that was this bad.

"Exceptional Dining Experience at Lonesome Dove!"
From the moment we walked in, the service at Lonesome Dove was impeccable. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making our dining experience truly enjoyable.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The chili-rubbed lamb was hands-down the best I've ever had – it was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The lobster hushpuppies were also a highlight, a unique and delicious appetizer.
Honestly, if I could give Lonesome Dove more than 5 stars, I would! It's a truly special place with incredible food and service.
Highly recommend!

I’ve been to the stockyards hundreds of times and for whatever reason have never found my way here for dinner. My wife and I arrived a few minutes early but as soon as they verified our reservation we were seated right away.

Our server Adam gave a complete run down of the drink menus and asked if we wanted a run down of the menu. I got The Willie but had it old fashion style instead of Manhattan. My wife had The Little Red Corvette which she liked but ended up really enjoying The Bluebonnet. We were able to try a little of several things instead of ordering full size items. We ended up with kangaroo nachos, elk sliders and rabbit & rattlesnake sausage. Thought it was all great. The elk slider would be our least favorite but still good. The slider bun seems just like a sweet Hawaiian roll straight out of the package so not what you would expect from Tim Love.

For our main meal I had a 8oz beef filet while my wife had the 14oz Bison ribeye. Both cooked to the correct medium rare and both with a great flavorful crust. For sides we got the whipped potatoes and the LD Mac & Cheese. Neither of us were a fan of the Mac & Cheese as it was orzo pasta and just wasn’t our thing, we are more traditionalist when it comes to Mac & Cheese I suppose. Adam took care of things for us though.

For dessert we enjoy the Iron Chef winning Ancho chocolate cake and ice cream and the churros with dipping sauces. The chocolate cake is definitely the stand out but the churros were great.

Everything was great about our first Lonesome Dove visit.. Adam our server really added to the experience and provided great service and commentary/friendly banter.

We had a good meal and the staff was kind and attentive. The reasons why I didn’t give a 5 star rating is as follows:
1) The Lobster Mac & Cheese - we are suckers for this dish in any menu and to be honest, what we got at Lonesome Dove was a huge disappointment. They use orzo pasta which doesn’t hold the sauce well, but the real issue is that the sauce seemed to have little to no cheese at all. It tasted like butter with truffle oil.
2) The inconsistent cook on the lamb chops - the dish was delicious, but they cut the chops at different thicknesses, so they were all cooked to a different doneness. I just expect more out of a restaurant that charges these prices.
3) the pace of the service - for restaurants of this caliber, I expect that it will be a longer, more slower paced meal, but I felt like food was being served at the pace of your neighborhood Chilis. This might be a plus to some people, but I felt a little rushed.

Aside from those issues, it’s a cool restaurant with great cocktails and great tasting dishes (minus the lobster Mac & cheese).

Beautiful restaurant with excellent staff and service. However, the food quality was inconsistent across our meal. Some dishes were excellent, some were just ok. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience and will return to try other dishes.

Anthony was fantastic. His ability to take great care of us while making us laugh and enjoy, was top shelf. And the food was absolutely amazing.
