We were a group of 8 excited about sampling some of the best of Fort Worth and exploring the historic Stockyards. We happened upon Lonesome Dove online and I booked a reservation. We were thrilled to try some exotic wild game and sample some of the best steaks the Dallas area had to offer. Lonesome Dove did not disappoint. We started with the fettine, a charcuterie board of wild game, along with Wild Boar ribs, the red pepper chili, hamachi tostadas and several other dishes....
After spending the day roaming around the Stockyards, I stopped here for lunch—and it was absolutely worth it. I ordered the garlic-stuffed beef tenderloin and the organic egg salad, and tried the rabbit-rattlesnake sausage. I can officially add that to my list of exotic foods, and it was fantastic! Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back...
Everything was superb! Our drinks were refreshing. The Kangaroo nachos were divine! The Lamb Chops were so tender and flavorful. My husband had the Tenderloin and raved about it the whole time! Highly recommend this for a special occasion. It was our anniversary and our waitress Jennifer made it so special.
