My friend and I are out of town and decided to eat here for ole time sakes and the food is not what it used to be. It did not taste like anything it was bland and the portion are way too small. At some point when I got ready for a refill for my drink they must of turned the machine off and said I needed my receipt but didn't give me a receipt. No one greeted us. We stood at the counter for 15 mins trying to see if they accepted cash. We went back another 10 mins asking for mustard. They are very rude and try not to look up and acknowledge that you're there. I'm looking to relocate and I will definitely tell my family and friends if you just settle to eat here don't go to this location but as for me I'm one and done and I guess Steak and Shake will be just a memory for me because I prefer not to ever eat it again. I've prayed over myself and food several times since I left. The atmosphere is just that bad. I'd rather eat McDonald's.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL food! My daughter and I used to come here when she was 3-6. She’s 15 now and we forgot how awesome this place was! Super clean restaurant, very nice and attentive staff, and the burgers, fries and shakes are still ?!! Bring the family!Very modern, high tech store. I saw someone leave a 1 star and complain about their QR fountain soda machine. Get over it! We live in a smart world, it isn’t that hard of a transition! It cuts down on dishonesty and theft! You don’t need more than two sodas anyway!

***PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM OF THIS LOCATION OR STAFF, THIS IS MEANT FOR OWNERSHIP*** We decided to get a bite to eat last night and pullled up to a Rosa's on Taco Tuesday that was slammed, beside it was this Steak N Shake and on the other side of it was Jason's. With Rosa's having no parking space and Jason's appearing to be pretty busy as well, I thought "I haven't had Steak N Shake in awhile and it's parking lot is empty". Upon entering, instead of being greeted by a cashier, your only choice is a Kiosk. Of course there was a nice young woman there to show us how to use it, but I assume cash is no longer accepted. Receipt prints and I go to get a drink and machine won't work, another nice young lady smiles and says you need to scan to get machine to work. Jeez was my exclamation. Seriously,the lame brained corporate paper pushers that came up with the kiosk, cashless only system, have to save your scan receipt to get drinks, limited to one refill concept should have witnessed the completely empty restaurant at 6:30pm. This is in a busy area of Ft Worth, the Jason's deli to one side was packed, the Rosa's was overflowing with no space to park, your concept isn't working with customers. None of our party will be likely to step into any Steak n Shake at any point again.

I would leave a no star review if I could. I will not be returning to this location. I used to love this place so it kind of sucks to say that. Corporate or franchise I don't know, but what they are doing here doesn't need to be done anywhere else. If you order extra on anything you are basically just throwing your money away. This place nickel and dimes you and doesn't give the the penny worth of product. The drinks have a secure feature which I could understand for non paying individuals.However, no where is it listed you only get one refill with your drink. You are given a QR scanner that you MUST scan in order to get fountain machine to work and is only good for two uses. The portion size here is much smaller then other Steak & Shakes. The one silver lining to this place is that is Renee greeted us and was extremely friendly and even checked up on us.(Renee if you see this you are a rockstar keep it up my fellow human being!!)The rest of the staff that was working seemed to be annoyed that we existed and treated us like criminals for asking for more drink. The food tastes good don't get me wrong but for the price I paid I can take my little money and business elsewhere for a better experience.

Lunch at this place was so stinking DELICIOUS! That burger was perfection. The fries are shoestring, golden, lightly salted and ?hot!Shakes, are very good! Who needs a warm welcome or someone to ask questions ? Boy, we really felt like no one cared if we were there or not. There are only kiosks to enter your order. No one greets you. We placed our order and received QR codes for our drinks. We stood by the drink dispenser to wail for cups. Since no one was there, we thought maybe we had to scan the QR code to get a cup. The employee up front watched us do that and still didn't bring cups. We stood there for a few more minutes, then he came and gave us cups. Then, we had to scan the QR code to fill the cups. You could only scan each code a certain number of times, and you had to scan for each refill. Very strange and uninviting. The food was ok. We will not be rushing back in for sure!
After 20 minutes waiting, and no more than two other orders in front of me, I’ve finally approached them and ask him where my order was. They were sultry about answering me and finally just cooked up another order. I was 25 minutes getting an order when there was hardly any traffic here. I couldn’t recommend this place.

We went yesterday trough the drive thru and the were forgetting our drinks than we checked our bag we had 4 burgers instead of 5 they asked us for the bag checked it and assured us that the order was complete we drive home which is 18 minutes away and there were only 4 burgers in the bag we tried calling the more than 10 times and no one answers we weren’t even able to call to request a refund and I am just not willing to drive 18 minutes for a burger that we told them was missing is unbelievable!
