All around good experience. The decor and setting were a bit old and tired but I think that's part of the charm. Nothing pretentious, just a nice wholesome place for a reasonable price.

This restaurant is a textbook example of 1). A Fort Worth institution, on the scale of Joe T. Garcia's, and 2). obviously a place that won't pay the Yelp extortion. But, to the food, before I explain.

Tried this place on a whim, expecting to get cheap carry-out, but ended up staying to have a very pleasant and still affordable dining experience. Staff were friendly and attentive even though it was late.
