Elegant and beautiful Middle Eastern interior with exceptional dishes and a friendly wait staff. When you go in off hours and the mood is quiet it’s a super date night place and BYOB too. RecommendedEdit March 26,2023I see they had a kitchen fire unfortunately, so will be cleaning & remodeling a few months. I sure hope they keep the unusually fine decor!

After living in Türkiye I am always looking for good Turkish food. So far this place has been the best. While the food may not have been the same flavor or presentation wise, it was still good. Only complaint was the baclava was underwhelming and must've been stale.

Stopped in for lunch today, my first visit. It was different and a delight. The menu was awesome and my choice of kabob, rice and salad was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked. My server, Veronica, was great, helpful with suggestions and very attentive. Already planning a future date night to bring the hubby. Can’t wait!

As authentic as it gets. Like most places in Texas, you don’t know how good a place is until you enter. If you are a meat lover, you can’t go wrong with Adana Kebob. I like their eggplant appetizer as well. Don’t forget to get their tea at the end of your meal with Baklava. Been a patron her since 2018 and they have not disappointed since.

Oh my goodness!!!! The atmosphere here will make you think you are in another country. The food was superb, fresh, tasty and amazing. We had a party of 10 and they had space enough to seat all of us comfortably. The best thing The Flying Carpet is it’s BYOB, yes you read that correctly, you can bring your own bottle. The staff was amazing and the owner came out to meet us. They will see me again for sure.

It is a beautiful place, cozy, comfortable and classy. The food is delicious and authentic. I would recommend it if these were the only factors. However, 5 people ordering small plates of food added up to 250 dollars. It is borderline too much. If you are willing to spend a buck, then definitely go here. It is great with nice service!

This place is truly just average, and that’s okay! We tried all courses, and taste was fine, service was good. Nothing extraordinary and nothing really bad. Except the baklava, which must have been sitting awhile as it had no crunch. BYOB is a nice plus.

Nice quiet restaurant. The food was good.Didn't like the fee if paying by credit card though.

Disappointing. We had a group of 6, but none of us were impressed. We arrived for dinner and were surprised to be the only ones there. It is hard going to a restaurant when you are the only table because the wait staff hovered and stared at us the entire time, which was uncomfortable. Ironically when we needed our check, our waiter was nowhere to be found, so we sat there for another 20mins until they reappeared. The food was mostly okay, but way overpriced for what you get. $20+ for most dinner dishes but small portions. Half our food arrived cold. I was also surprised we were charged for the basket of pita since it's not even listed on the menu. I guess only the first basket is complimentary. I think this place is more of a lunch option instead of a dinner spot. They do have a nice parking lot, and the inside of the restaurant is beautifully designed. I don't think that's enough for us to return though.

Amazing! Delicious! Attentive service! Fresh quality simple ingredients! Zucchini pancakes were like little clouds.

Praise: Incredible interior, wall decor, seating. Authentic, fresh, impressive food quality! Really love that this restaurant is making it through COVID. I can't wait to try more of their dishes. Soup and appetizers exceeded expectations and were so fresh and memorable. Suggestions: It would add a great amount of ambiance if the music was turned up a little bit and if the blinds weren't all of the way closed on all windows. It can make people feel claustrophobic and the setting too dark.

First time at The Flying Carpet Turkish Cafe. Food was very tasty as you combine the salad, rice, gyro meat, and tzatziki sauce into each bite. Each flavor builds onto the other for a nice balance of flavors. Lentil soup needed a bit of salt but was otherwise a nice starter. Meal also came with fresh, warm pita bread. We will return and bring a nice bottle of wine since they are BYOB.

Phenomenal! I had the stuffed cabbage. I like trying new things and was very impressed. I love the decor, and the food was very well displayed and very flavorful. The portions are perfect.

Came across this restaurant while trying to avoid hot long waits at other restaurants and thought I had hit the jackpot. Appetizers were promising but the kebabs and meats were disappointing. The food descriptions are not accurate especially when it comes to the yogurt marinated kebabs. More like kebab sitting in baked yogurt. The meat quality and preparation was sub par. I tried the lamb, chicken, and beef. Much better Turkish options in town. Waitress did not know the menu or could make educated recommendations. The atmosphere is quaint.

We'd made a reservation for 2 on a Saturday evening. Walked in to a sweltering entryway, no central A/C, no fans. It was hot.Waited about 10 minutes before there was any sign of a hostess or waitstaff to acknowledge us. It was very busy with large tables of guests, so we waited patiently. We were finally seated in a small corner table in the entry, no biggie.. It took another 10 minutes for our drink and appetizer order to be taken. A few minutes later, the waitstaff appears with a pitcher of water to fill the ONE glass that was already on the table. Waited another 15 minutes, hoping to get a second glass or our appetizers (hummus and lentil soup) but they never came.Almost 40 minutes after we arrived, we left and will not return.
