The atmosphere here is great, it is hard to beat a cool evening out on the patio with live music in Fort Worth. The service is pretty good but can be slow at times. The prices are a bit much though. We ordered a Topo Chico and we were not told they switched to Richard's Rainwater (not as carbonated and not as good) We would not have ordered it had we known. Also $6 for single bottle of water? What is this Ranger's Stadium? That is over the top. The pretzel was pretty good. The chopped beef sandwich was a little underwhelming. The blueberry cobbler was delicious. I think next time I will have a water or soda, a cobbler and enjoy the music.

Really disappointing. Brisket was bland and had a terrible texture. Coleslaw was the worst I ever had. Chicken and pork were very salty. I don’t even know WHAT the camp bread was because it was one of the worst things I ever had. Just serve regular white bread with barbecue!!!! It doesn’t need to be special. Only good things were beans.

We ordered the half ribs we ordered two drinks will you order some fried chicken skins and we ordered potato salad. We did not know the potato salad was $6 so that was $12 for potato salad the server did not tell us that the potato salad was extra we assume that it came with the ribs the chicken skins they tasted a little burnt and was not seasoned good at all the only reason it was good is we dipped it in the barbecue sauce we will never go back to this place again bed service and the food was not that good

Woodshed Smokehouse is a fun restaurant right on the Trinity River. Atmosphere is great, especially when there is live music and more people.
On this specific visit:
Our server was very nice and friendly, patient with our kids, and kept the drinks refilled. She was helpful answering questions about the food we were interested in. She provided guidance when needed.
The restaurant was slow with few other guests. We sat inside, which felt great, but the kids walked to the river between ordering.
The food was good, not great. Chicken fried steak was excellent and I would recommend. The ribs were good but a little dry. Tamales were very good for a non-tamale specialty restaurant; I would get them again if I was sharing or splitting something with someone else but would try other items first.
Overall, a great stop. Would be 5 stars if the food was just a little better for the price.
Server “Harli” is one of the MOST SINCERE and HEARTFELT servers we have ever experienced. We were visiting from Chicago IL as our son works here in Fort Worth Texas now. Not only was Harli very attentive but she also made our son’s 22nd Birthday special! In addition the GM Jeremy was very hospitable as he realized we came to their establishment TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS and I at the SAME THING!!! A pound of BRISKET each day!!! We WILL come back!!!!

Came for my birthday dinner, and JT made it 10/10 all around! He convinced me to try the smoked Duck (weekends only) and it was UNREAL. Gotta stop by and ask for JT if you’re looking for great service and great food. The live music just made it even better.
