We celebrated a special evening and had reservations. Beautiful establishment. Ambiance great. Seemed understaffed, but we're rather easy customers. House wine was great. I ordered a pesto pasta dish which was good but had no accompaniments. Just a smallish bowl of pesto pasta with diced chicken. Underwhelming, but tasty. My husband ordered the fish of the day, Red Snapper, a favorite of his. It came out odd. Round medallions that were rubbery. He sent it back then was told it was prawns. They didn't taste good, prawns or not. After 20 minutes and after I completed my meal, his fish came out. Underwhelming and not fresh. Service really disappeared after that and it is unfortunate. No apologies, complimentary dessert or comp wine to smooth over the bad taste. Maybe an off night, but unfortunately we won't give it a second try.

Today my husband and I celebrated our 24th anniversary by driving to Fredericksburg Tx. to get peaches and having a celebratory lunch before heading back to San Antonio. After obtaining our peaches we ventured into town and made the decision to dine at Alla Campagna. We were greeted with the friendliest smile by a charming young woman named Jennifer. Turns out she was our waitress as well. I ordered the compunti pasta dish which was absolutely delicious. It had grilled chicken which was delicious and juicy, pasta tossed in a pesto sauce which was creamy and equally tasty. The sauce literally danced on my tongue with every bite. My husband ordered the Carne pizza which was amazing! The crust was crispy on the outside yet chewy on the inside. He is usually a quiet person but he continually commented on the pizza throughout the meal. The restaurants atmosphere was charming with a marriage of antique and modern. Very inviting!! I also couldn’t help but notice how clean the restaurant was. The next time we go we plan to stay overnight as we learned the proprietor also has a B&B! Because we had to drive home we chose not to indulge in the Spirits, next time we will! Thank you for making this Anniversary a memorable one!!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere (urban chic), great bar, good food, and popular with locals.

Great service, food, and ambiance!! Our waiter was Ian, we loved him. Very knowledgeable about the wine. If you're a wine lover, go for the bottle!! In hindsight, my boyfriend and I should have done that but we just couldn't decide on red vs white. He loved his Italian Rosso and I loved my Sauvignon Blanc. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the meatballs. So fresh-- both the meat and tomatoes. For our entrees, he got the wild boar pappardelle and I the pollo de bucatini. The bucatini was amazing! So many different flavors and depth. In comparison, the pappardelle with wild boar almost fell flat. We are both Italian food #snobs so maybe it was just our opinion. Overall, we'd definitely visit again! Great little location and experience, without any pretentious vibe.

This place has a nice atmosphere and the staff members are great! Shout out to the young gentleman host on 3/11, he was super nice! Only reason for the three stars is them being out of all of their pasta dishes at the beginning of dinner time. That was a little disappointing.

We reserved 3 weeks in adv. we were seated outdoors under a canopy with plastic windows and heaters as it was cold. Food portions were good but small and overpriced.

The food was authentic and fabulous. However the staff is the heart and soul of this place. Top notch and above and beyond come to mind.

The food and service were absolutely amazing. They really should pair up with Andreucci Wine Room located just down the street. The fantastic Italian wine would only complement your amazing dishes.

Side Street Hospitality sets the bar high and Alla Campagna didn't disappoint! Knowledgeable servers, nicely edited Italian wine list. The eggplant rollatini was delicious!

Food was mostly good, although when I asked to customize my pizza, I didn't realize it would double in price for a 3 topping pizza. I will probablynot go back.

The food was mediocre but the server was excellent. I think they have to focus on a few plates.

The best lasagna I've ever had.

We ordered pizza and an appetizer. Our food was good but we noticed several tables sending theirs back. Our waiter did a great job juggling what appeared to be a kitchen problem (so his service was a 5). Cold food, soggy pizza (we ordered ours crispy), etc.....Not sure what was going on but hope it gets corrected.

HOLY SMOKES! The pasta was life changing. Our Waiter was extremely kind and helped us customize our orders based off of what we wanted. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant was *chefs kiss* We stopped in for our anniversary & we're eager to return!
