We visited this establishment a few years ago and heard it had been purchased by another owner.Although the space is still nice, the prices compared to the quality were not equal.Overall, the food was well cooked and presented nicely but lacked the flair for the price.

I expected a lot more from a place with a $100 ppa. Apps were delicious but came well before we got our drinks (which took almost 20 minutes.) Had to ask multiple times for water. We ordered steak frites and surf and turf both medium rare. Surf and turf was okay but the steak was significantly undercooked, definite rare throughout. Steak frites was godawful. No presentation to speak of, four pieces of tough, overcharred steak, totalling maybe 6 oz precook, and unseasoned French fries with literally nothing else on the plate. Had to ask and wait over 5 minutes for the aioli it says comes with it on the menu. Our server never checked on us after we got our entrees for at least 20 minutes. When she did it took another 20 to get our food boxed up (took the steak for our dogs) and to get two coffees and the check. I noticed that the only FOH employees in the restaurant were the four servers and a manager, they did all of the running and bussing themselves. If you want to format your restaurant that way, lower your prices. If you want to charge $50 an entree, I’m expecting to at least have a full water. Hire some support staff.

Fine dining done right. Our server Chris was the best you could ask for. Loved every part of it.

Save your cash. This spot doesn’t deliver on the promised experience. Disappointed by the lackluster service. Charging $6 to split a salad feels petty. Timing was off the whole night from our server but really felt it with wine arriving AFTER the steak. Although flavorful, the steak missed the mark on requested doneness (asked for medium-rare). Menus cluttered the table throughout the meal. Server relied on notes for specials. Splitting checks not allowed, making group dining a hassle (everyone in calculators isn’t the look you want at your restaurant). Overall, this place survives on Fredericksburg’s tourist buzz. Invest in a trip to Napa instead. I won’t return if I can help it.

This establishment offers the highest quality cuisine in town, predominantly American with a touch of Spanish and Asian influence. A visit to Fredericksburg would be incomplete without experiencing this culinary gem. The ambiance is delightful, and the food quality surpasses anything else available in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Our server was great, however the food and atmosphere were less than subpar given the price. The crabcake, filet, and swordfish could have easily been cooked better at home. The drinks and august e salad were okay but that was basically it.The restaurant is trying to be upscale, but it’s crumby food and factory-style ceiling give another vibe.

Great dining experience! Wild game board was great. This would have been an entree easy to mess up but they nail it with savory quail, the best elk I've ever had and delicious boar sausage!

Short wait staff. Oysters were warm. Soup was sour. Not high end as suggested.

Right from the start the host Carlos was welcoming and accommodating. He was able to get us a table. Our waiter Sam. Was Devine. The sweetest man and most amazing waiter we have ever encountered in Texas hands down. We have traveled all over Europe and visited many 5 star restaurants and in US regardless of the restaurant Sam is #1!!!!The wine list was excellent and the swordfish perfection! Highly recommend

Positive: the steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were also made well.Negative:The experience started off with the server asking my husband what he wanted to drink and then walking away without even looking at me. Throughout the meal, the server didn't ask us how the food was, didn’t listen to our full order, and overall didn’t attend to us like the tables next to us. We were out of water for more than ten minutes without server or bus-boy noticing, and even then specifically had to call it out.Overall, if the server was giving us less attention because we look younger and thought we weren’t worth the effort because we wouldn’t tip well, it became a self-fulfilling prophecy.I told the initial questionnaire that it was my husband’s birthday - I also told the server and nothing was done. No “happy birthday” no glass of champagne or dessert like we’ve experienced at other restaurants similar to this.

We didn’t have much option for places to eat…The hostess this past weekend could not have cared less we were there. She was sour faced and not friendly. They didn’t answer their phone when I called to make a reservation and when I show up, they say they don’t have room except at bar area. The table at the bar area is the size for a family of rats to eat their dinner. I kept dropping my fork bc we didn’t have room on the table for the food. I pay cash at the bar with the lady bartender and she just so happens to provide the amount of change where I have to tip her more than I wanted. Bc I wasn’t gonna wait to ask for change bc she was already so busy. I’m giving 2 stars bc burger sliders were decent. I wouldn’t eat here again.
