Food was amazing! Lots of flavor. They just do not have alcoholic drinks here. This placed was referred to us by a friend and everyone loved their food.

The biscuits and gravy is good here. Eggs cooked perfect. Ham is excellent. Kinda disappointed in the frozen sausage patties, but besides that, it was good. Serve real sausage and I'd give it 5 stars.

The best omelet I've ever had I couldn't even finish it. Must go to place for breakfast or any time you want homemade food. Good service friendly and professional. Highly recommend. You won't leave hungry

We waited over an hour for subpar food and slow service. If you're looking for a place to eat in town, try elsewhere. McDonalds would have been better. They made us wait outside in the heat for over an hour. There aren't even any fans to keep people comfortable.I kept hearing about how good the food is, so we figured waiting it out would be worth it.They took our order pretty quickly and gave us our drinks, but didn't come back after that. It took forever to get refills and even longer for our food to come out. Which I get, because they're incredibly understaffed and it was pretty busy. When we finally got our food, however it was just not good at all. I ordered the Reuben and it was served on soggy, thin bread that completely fell apart while I was eating it. My boyfriend got a breakfast burrito that was stuffed way too full that it didn't even close. The temperature inside is still way too hot especially after sitting outside for as long as we did and the bathrooms are absolutely filthy. I was looking forward to eating here, because the reviews were so good, and was extremely disappointed.

I heard someone throwing up in the back, probably because the food was so bad.

What a delicious breakfast joint! My husband and I visited Fredericksburg a few weeks ago for our anniversary and had a wonderful breakfast at City Cafe one morning. If you're looking for the "home cooked meal" feel, you definitely want to give City Cafe a try! I ordered the tastiest meat & veggie omelet with a side of their "home fries". It was probably the best omelet I've ever had! The service was wonderful even though they were particularly busy the morning we went. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with yummy food and we definitely hope to be back soon!

Was in Fredericksburg on a Trade Days weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find City Cafe for breakfast Saturday morning. The food was great and the vintage building cute and welcoming. Would definitely return!

Their breakfasts rock. I do not really want to give this review because I do not want tourist to overrun this place. All their food is excellent.Only down point; it may be because I am a woman alone, but I cannot get a coffee refill there to save my life, despite extraordinary tips.
