Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. The brisket was very dry and with no flavor. The jalopena sausage was good. The ribs were tender but without taste. The sides were decent. The bbq sauce was not as good as the brisket. They did have an alternative for the sauce, they had a thinned out Baby Ray's sauce in the Baby rays plastic bottle. This wasn't the worst bbq I've had, but the reviews aren't what I would expect.

Disappointing. Myself and a friend both got sick from their coleslaw.

What a pleasant surprise! On our way home from Mason we stopped in here. It's actually a bbq place but it happened to be Fish Friday and they did not disappoint. The catfish was fried to perfection, slaw was creamy and the fries looked handcut. So very good.

It was ok they were out of ribs when i got there a little after lunch time so i was a little disappointed with that. Brisket was a little dry for my taste. Cole slaw was great as well as potato salad and jalapeno sausage. Its a small place maybe i just caught them on an off day

When your at David's BBQ, you know you are at home in the Hill Country! My order was a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, and a side of hot cakes-delicious! The quality was tasted in every bite, the ingredients are prepared fresh daily, and the prices were surprisingly better than some other local options. The atmosphere is great! The welcome upon arrival is genuine and they sincerely appreciate the customer. While I received my order togo, however I wish I had the time to dine in. Whether you need some breakfast taco's togo or have time to dine in-Its worth ever penny spent. Thank you for making breakfast great again!

So that is the amount of frys you get for an extra 1.50 thats doesn't come with a sandwich. Needless to say staff where awsome the decorations is great. But the food is less to be desired. I got the two meat plate asked how big the ribs were and was told they are big. When I got them it was two and let's just say they looked like they came off a very small animal. Their home made sauce was tomato based and very red I thought it was ketchup. When walking up couldn't smell any smoke at all. Should have known when it was lunch time and there wasn't many cars outside that was a clue that it wasn't up to snuff. If this place is going to make they are going to need to step it up. So it's not really pit BBQ as it says on the sign outside.

Wife and I had breakfast. I got the brisket breakfast plate. Wife got Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, cheese and potato burrito. Brisket came shredded, eggs over medium perfectly done, seasoned potatoes and flour tortilla. Super casual place and prices very reasonable. Good overall experience and staff is eager to please. Sorry but I don’t really get other reviewers thinking that a “smoke ring” is the end all be all for good bbq. Everything we ate was very good. Worth all 5 stars.

Sliced Brisket Plate with potato salad and green beans were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Homemade mini pecan pie was a great dessert to top off lunch. I just loved their homemade BBQ sauce!

Best bbq sauce ever. Just enough sweet and tart. Perfection.

I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich. No smoke ring. No smoke aroma. No smoke flavor. Sauce was extremely sweet with a touch of liquid smoke. I was underwhelmed. This isn’t barbecue.
That being said, the brisket was extremely tender, juicy and delicious. Adding mayo, black pepper, lettuce and tomato would make it an incredible sandwich. Coleslaw was good.

Doesn't get better than this classic Texas BBQ joint.

Dried out, reheated brisket that must be several days old, pork roast that could be used as a door stop, cold macaroni, definitely the worst BBQ place in Texas. No wonder they have plenty of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ available. I’d rather eat a gas station hot dog than go back to this place.
