Stopped here for lunch and had the potato salad, cole slaw, brisket, and pork ribs. Everything was okay, but the brisket was small ends, and the pork ribs were a bit wet, but both items were without a good crust and smoke ring. The potato salad was great, and the cole slaw was also decent, if a little unique. Our cashier/order taker was unenthusiastic.

Two large TVs hang on the wall inside - one with the news playing, and the other with brainrot TikTok videos during our visit. I think sports or just music would be an upgrade.

All in all, it was OK.

Really not sure how these guys survive in Texas. I bought a pound of turkey to go. Got home and saw they included no bbq sauce which was unfortunate because the meat was dry and flavorless.

BBQ was ok. Sides (beans, cole slaw, potatoe salad) were not tasteful at all

Each visit to Fredericksburg has to be a visit for breakfast tacos at Davis Pit BBQ. The food is delicious, and the customer service is always top-notch. You can dine in, call to place an order, or just walk in.

Nice little place and large menu. Unfortunately that’s where the good part ends. No ice for drinks, meat was not smoked. Brisket was dry and looked all brown like it was cooked in the oven. Ribs were ok but tasted like they were cooked in a crockpot. Potatoe salad was horrible and macaroni is a 2 star. Overall I recommend going somewhere else if you want real Texas BBQ

Stopped by. Really wanted barbecue. Next time will keep driving. Lack luster taste. Ribs were tender with hardly any flavor. Potato salad and beans,, absolutely No flavor. This would be a One and Done in My Books.

I had high hopes for good central Texas bbq. I was left disappointed. The menu has your standard fair and they do offer breakfast. I ordered the two meat plate with moist brisket, sausage, potato salad, and green beans. The first red flag went up when the person who took my ordered asked me what I meant by "moist" brisket. He asked if I meant "fatty" brisket... To which I said yes. The second red flag went up when I saw a bottle of "sweet baby Ray's BBQ sauce" next to the homemade sauce. Why would a bbq restaurant put out a bottled sauce to compete with their own sauce? The third red flag went up when my plate arrived. The small portion of fatty brisket could have fit in the palm of my hand. It had no smoky flavor and no smoke ring. It looked like it had been cooked in a crock pot. The sausage was sliced into paper thin slices and was very dry. The potato salad was bland and needed salt. The green been on my plate were swimming in juice, which spilled into the potato salad. If you are going to serve green beans, please drain them before putting them on the plate.

In conclusion, I hope David's figures out how to make better Texas BBQ. Until then, I would pick another spot.

House sauce was not very good. They offer sweet baby rays as an alternative. Expect better from a good bbq joint. Jalapeño sausage and peach cobbler 4.5 star.

Food was terrible. Ordered a brisket sandwich combo (side was Mac & cheese). Brisket was tender, I'll give them that, but was tasteless (is that why the Sweet Baby Ray's sauce was there?). The Mac & cheese was sloopy wet, and had boxed/powdered cheese sauce. Horrible. They must cater to the tourists who never come back. Never again; don't waste your money!

The food was very bland, no flavor at all and for $19 a plate they don’t give you much. Your best bet is Backwoods BBQ for sure. I should’ve ordered from them.
