I'm visiting from NC and my friends took me to Fredericksburg for lunch and do some wine tastings! I love wine and I drive for a wine tour company. So on vacation, it's my turn to do some tastings.I wanted to stop here as I saw the Longhorn statue standing out in front. The winery is beautiful. I loved the atmosphere of the tasting room. We were welcomed as we walked it. I was hoping to do a tasting but the wines were not what I would drink, which is fine, and also I really didn't want to pay the $30 for the tasting that I most likely wouldn't enjoy.I gave them 5 stars because of the outside view of the winery, the atmosphere in the tasting room and the friendliness of the staff! I'm not going to dock them a star because of my preference for wine. To each their own!

Having visited many wineries in the Texas Hill Country, I can confidently say this is by far the best winery in the area. The staff and owners are super friendly, the award winning wines are delicious. It’s a great vibe to hang out with friends and pets. I’ll be back, and soon!

Great wine! Ken Forkner was our server. He is very knowledgeable and always very informative and friendly. Atmosphere is very comfortable, seating for all type of people! Eclectic taste. Not real loud like a lot of wineries. Will frequent this place.

Such a beautiful winery. We were fortunate to have Gary H as our Bartender and he helped guide us through our selections. Engaging conversation about the winery and surrounding area. Gary is very knowledgeable, excellent customer service. Very beautiful tasting room, nicely decorated and lots of areas outside to enjoy our wines. Our favorite wines were the Malbec and the Estate Tempranillo. We highly recommend Longhorn Cellars! Thank you Gary H for such a great time!

Not only Vinyard offer excellent wines, they have to be the friendliest people on the planet.I highly recommend Longhorn Cellars.

We stopped in because we were staying next door. Extremely rude and unfriendly staff that only pushed sales. Not polite or welcoming to the local townfolks.

Longhorn Cellars had a special place in our hearts as being very kid friendly and overall we have enjoyed stopping by on our way back from Luckenbach on each of our bi-annual trips to Fred. This past week, we dropped in on Wednesday around 3:30 to doa tasting and check out the progress on the new building and see the farm animals.I promptly went in to talk to the server to let her know we'd like to do tasting but we were waiting for the rest of our party. She handed me the sheet and I walked back outside to brief the newbies. When I was explaining the tasting (it's unique - because you get to pick your own which is a nice treat) the server came by and just said "No you cannot share a tasting" which was in response to when I told the couple we were with that she could try a sip of each (since she does not drink wine). I thought she was coming to ask if we wanted water or needed help.Note: I've never had any issues sharing or letting others try my tastings in the past so it was odd that this was the only thing she said to us and walked back in.When I went back in to grab more sheets to do the tasting, it was about 4:07 and she said that they are closing at 4:30 and that no tastings could be taken to go... okay: 1) why would I want to take my tasting to go and 2) why didn't you let me know of the closing time when I arrived so I could either start a tasting or pivot?I'm not sure what happened but based on the server tone and lack of communication, we decided to grab a bottle down the road. I hope it was just an off-day ? We all left feeling very disappointed and I hope to give them another chance in the future.
